New VOCALOID Megurune Luka Announced

Crypton Future Media announced the third character VOCALOID "Megurune Luka (巡音ルカ)". Voice actress Asakawa Yuu provided the voice data. The software will be released on January 30th.

"Her name '巡音 (Megurine)' means 'the sounds that travel around (巡り伝わる音)'. CV03 will travel around and meet (巡り合う) with many possibilities. Japanese sounds meet English sounds and humans meet the machines. We expect CV03 will let different concepts, cultures, and languages meet with each other and she'll connect them together."

"The key concept of the character design is 'a brass instrument'. Sounds travels (巡り伝わる) through the tract of the instrument. A "tract" is indispensable for humans to interact with the sounds."

"Asakawa Yuu-san was already chosen in the early 2007. It was earlier than Hatsune Miku project. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it in scheduling the recording session."

Scroll down and find the link "この作品をダウンロードする (Download this picture)".
If you wanna copy and paste the images (and songs) in PIAPRO to somewhere else (like your blog or uploaders), you must follow the rules:
1. Credit the creator's name (It's indicated at the top of the page next to the avatar "**さん")
2. Leave an appreciation comment in the box at the bottom of the page. The box locates below "この作品へメッセージを書く (Leave comments for the image)" You can post a message in English.
#Choose a check button from "ご意見・感想 (General comments)", "使わせてもらいました (I borrowed your image)", and "その他 (Others)".
#Write the text and click "入力内容を確認する (Confirm your message)".
#Click "このメッセージを書き込む (Post this message)".

I saw many non-Japanese PIAPRO users copy&pasting images without crediting the original creators. Please follow the rules.

Megurine Luka's design is quite nice.
I think either a harp or a musical instrument fashioned in the likeness of a sword would suit her.

Lovely design for a vocaloid, and it's at least different in comparison to the others like Gakupo. I love her voice, sounds clean, melodious, and a lot less electronic; but I suppose that breaks the vocaloid concept. Hahaha.
I wonder what her "item" will be?

Once, I saw a random Japanese yonkoma comparing Miku and Rin to Kagami and Tsukasa from Lucky Star, which predicted that the next Vocaloid will look like Miyuki.

Though I didn't have expected this character design for the Vocaloid series, it's still a great illustration by Kei.

Curious about the music she'll be featured in. The demo songs sounds good so far.

I don't know why you don't like luka, I like her very much!
It's something different, Miku is just moe, but Luka looks pretty good to me
In fact, I like her better xD but that's just my opinion.
