Everything old really is new again. Saber Marionette, Slayers, Hajime no Ippo, and now this - the anime industry seems to be in revival mode.
Also, Casshern and Space Adventure Cobra, a new Fist of the North Star series among others. LOTS of remakes going on. It seems like the year for it. There also seems to be a resurrgence in interest in some of the older stuff too.

Wow. Almost 10 years since the last Tenchi series.
The last Tenchi series finished airing in 2005...
But anyway, FUCK YEAH! Thank you dtshyk for bringing this news to us. :D

wow another tenchi....those character models are too unfamiliar
Because it's set in an alternate universe like i already pointed out. Meaning a new cast probably, with a few of the originals returning.
Oh god why won't they let it die, why do they insist on making more?
Because the Tenchi franchise is Masaki baby, he has no reason to stop.

Surprised at anyone saying they haven't seen the first Tenchi. In my day, it was required viewing, everyone had seen it *is old* lol
