One Hour Crossover Special of Toriko, One Piece and Dragon Ball Z Announced

According to the official website of Shonen Jump, a one-hour crossover special among Toriko, One Piece and Dragon Ball Z was announced to be aired on April 7th. The subtitles of the first and second halves of the special are "Run! The Strongest Corps: Toriko, Luffy & Goku" and "History's Strongest Collaboration versus The Marine Glutton". The producer of the program said there will be a battle of Zebra versus Zoro versus Vegeta, a cooking competition between Komatsu and Sanji, and Chopper's reaction to the fused warrior Gotenks.

I really wonder if most of you have ever been past episode 1 of Toriko ? I've started watching the anime not so long ago and it turned out to be good too (15+ episodes).

Right up in the favs with DBZ, OP, Naruto and a few more. I just hope the storytelling doesn't go "bad" in the long run.

Go ahead and feel ashamed for an episode that was just supposed to be about fun and showing the three groups of characters. I'm guessing it's because Goku isn't overpowered and doesn't beat everyone?

I don't see how he did it well at all, it was really quite stupid. Just used a pic from the OP and then a scene from the anime where the main character is supposed to look cool.

Somehow i believe that shueisha are trying to promote "Toriko"

lately they are doing unusual cross-over with it, not so sure why

I haven't seen toriko yet but it seems better than fairy tail.Like a weakr version of one piece,I'll watch it when it gets more episodes,anyway this crossover is good stuff

They should of added small things like Goku was wearing some sort of power reduction bands or restricted by the Shin Kaio to fight in this tournament, but I did love how Goku speed blitz Luffy. HAHA

Yes because from the beginning, it was really Toriko episode 99 and One Piece episode 590. It shouldn't have been a separate entry.

That makes no sense. It should be its own special.

Now once again the episode numbers will get all screwed up since just like the first special, the fansubbers for Toriko will just have the next episode as 99.

Plus, the point of the database is convenience, which is why episode 13 OVAs for shows have their own separate listing. What about a Dragon Ball fan who doesn't watch One Piece or Toriko? How will he put it in? Or someone who watches One Piece but not Toriko?

No it makes perfect sense.

Those two episodes aired on their timeslots and for each part used the respective show's ost. Just like the previous crossovers.

I don't remember those episode numbers getting screwed up, it's quite simple.

Who said the point of the database is convenience? Yes but OVAs are made for dvd or home video, they are not aired at the same time the real episodes like those Toriko x One Piece crossovers. Now that, I admit is a con of having them as episodes. But I still believe everything else suggests that they are.

Toriko (the character and the anime) sucks, Naruto is way better . (And I'm not a Naruto fan).

This was good but without Toriko (and Toriko's setting) it'd have been great.

BTW, "manliest of men" would be Kenshiro (Hokuto no Ken). Toriko is just a cheap ripoff.

lolz. toriko just mixes the modern shounen style with that of the manly 80s'. just like goku was inspired by Kenshiro, toriko too was.
