AnoHana Movie To Animate a Sequel One Year After the TV series

According to the official website, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai Movie will animate a new story one year after the final episode along with the recap of the TV series. It will be premiered in the summer of 2013.

I still liked it though. I am awaiting the movie.

I didn't cry either, and its my favorite anime. It was definitely sad, but I didn't shed even a little tear.

Anyways, really looking forward to this movie! Especially after watching that trailer above.

Well, the only thing I got while watching this trailer was goosebumps. I've never cried while watching anime, but this anime was close to making me cry.

At first, Menma is the reason why they can't get on with their own lives but now.... i really want to see how they make Menma as their own inspiration... :D

I really wonder how they plan to make this work out without having it seem like a quick way to make money. Seeing the above posted trailer reminded me of the feelings I had while watching it so I expect the movie to not trample on those emotions.

That ending was amazing! Why would you want it to change! Don't get me wrong, I'M FRICKING LOOKING FORWARD TO BOTH THE RECAP AND 1 YEAR AFTER, F**K YESSS! But i feel that crying for 20 minutes was what made it good, complete happy endings, no matter how happy they make you, really don't beat realistic endings ( not that Anohana's very realisic or anything).

I want to watch Jinta more so this is great :D Well Menma moved on and I guess they'll be chilling together in the next movie? I wonder if they have something to go on..

The anime had a great buildup of emotion, only to let end the final episode with crying for 20 minutes.

I agree with this. And, I don't even mind melodrama at all. But, the way the ending was handled, particularly that cyring scene, was just too much.

Yeah no offense but the series was so powerful because of the ending, maybe they would switch it over to a slice of life/ romance with that Anaru but... Don't really feel that bringing back Menma would benefit the quality of the series.
