Vagabond! Yes. Can't wait to read more. I really wish Giant Killing and Hajime no Ippo were published in the US.

A third season of Oofuri would probably still be successful, but it did take a big hit from season one (average 19,297) to season two (average 8,396). It might be assumed that there's not a lot to gain if the manga is still doing so well already without another season.

Yeah and I'm afraid the more Aniplex (or Kodansha, or whoever) waits the less profitable it'll become and thus no desire for a continuation.

edit: and there's still no blu-ray of season 1? I'm surprised it's been this long and nothing about it has surfaced.

Really hoping for a season 3, but guessing it'll do even worse than season 2 what with the focus on Musashino and all.

Bunkyodo reports disc sales but not book sales.
Thanks for the info. It is interesting to know because I have bought books countless times in Bunkyodo and those shops I went all have book section that is as big as, often bigger than, its disc section.

good to see Giant Killing there

Proud to say I contributed. It sells out so fast in my local bookstore.

Season 3 when!?!

When the director stops working on terrible shows like Another and when A-1 isn't animating a dozen shows a season (SAO, Fairy Tail, Space Bros, Shinsekai Yori, Magi and so on..)

Seriously if any show needs another season, it's Oofuri. Judging from the three year wait from season 1 (2007) to season 2 (2010), perhaps next year will be the year of season 3?
even though I want another season of Natsume Yuujinchou :x

On the other hand, I see Bunkyodo having a Chuunibyou novel fair: http://www.bunkyodo.co.jp/c/tenpo/chuni_cam201210.htm
Bunkyodo is a national bookstore chain. It bugs me a bit to think that even Bunkyodo does not report its sales to Oricon.
Oricon gathers information from over 28,000 CD/DVD/BD stores for their disc rankings. In comparison, they have a total of 1,907 bookstores they get reports from. There's also listings of which stores report to Oricon on those links. Bunkyodo reports disc sales but not book sales.

Amazon has never carried the Chuunibyou light novels. The listings have always been for third-party sellers, which don't report their sales to Oricon.
I did not check the Amazon pages before so I would just believe what you said.

So it's not available to order online anywhere? That would explain why it's not listed on honto... Shame - I was wanting to get my hands on a copy.
It's available online, but only through websites that ship inside Japan. You have to use a proxy no matter which online store you'd buy from (either JBOOK or KyoAni's online store). None of the bigger bookstores have ordered KA Esuma novels, but given that they've been sold out on the KyoAni shop since early October and through JBook in the past two weeks, they can't print them fast enough for those big stores to place orders and be fulfilled.

always wondering where is chuu2 ? doesn't the LN always sold out ?
Right now there are only 368 bookstores in all of Japan that carry the KA Esuma light novels. Unfortunately none of them report to Oricon. Regardless how it's selling, we'll never know any numbers until either the bookstores report to Oricon or if they are sold in bookstores that do report.

I wonder do the sales of the newest manga volume have much to do with how the anime fares? I could see it being important if it triggered more sales for the early volumes or of course if the anime itself sells well, but 70k after 2 weeks doesn't seem like much more than it would have sold anyway even without the anime :/

well, right now, almost all the previous volumes are out of stock on amazon....and usually, KamiHaji never has a second week and I think its the first time its reached 70k in two weeks.

but not enough to chart on the oricon....
