The anime company, Funimation, announced that it will be adding the series Ouran High School Host Club to its TV channel. No word yet on when it will premiere.

The DVD is already set to ship on October 28th. It will be released in half-series boxes (13 episodes the first box set, etc.).

Also, I'm sure most people who get cable can see Sci-Fi (I believe Monday night) and TOON (Saturday night, maybe Friday too?)

Really? I have the Sci-Fi channel but I have never seen anime on there :P

I wonder if my friend still has the FUNimation Channel? She'll be very happy to hear this if she still does...

By the way, Funimation Channel, according to their website, is not available to Verizon Wireless subscribers, only to At&T and Sprint cell phone subscribers. (Unfortunately. I get Verizon.) :(

If any of you have On Demand programming, there are several places where you can watch anime for free (if you get the particular channels, though): Adult Swim, Anime Selects, IFC Free, and Anime Network. I have Comcast, and it can be found under The Cutting Edge. Also, I'm sure most people who get cable can see Sci-Fi (I believe Monday night) and TOON (Saturday night, maybe Friday too?)

Same. :/

But my aunt has the channel, so maybe when I visit her I can watch it? It doesn't really matter though, I already saw the first episode at AnimeFEST awhile ago. :3

well broadcast TV in america is subject to so many regulation and licencing issues that its no surprise that some channels simply cant show more update stuff. CN has such a broad viewership that the sort of lead the way having been showing anime for quite some time. Funmation has been getting more and more involved so im sure once they get the funds and proper licenceses, they will start to bring themselves into the market. they also have to compete with the other anime channel...or whatever i dont know its name.

meh....not only dubbed but "exclusively hard to subscribe" channel. It should really go on Dish...... not that I will watch it anyway (the current schedule only has anime I've already watched ages ago)

BTW, if you live in Canada and use Rogers or shaw, they have the anime network video on demand channel. (not that it has any series I want to watch neither...) Unfortunately, they REALLY have to make the north american market more attractive for anime fans....it's ages (by that I mean 2 years) behind. At least try to get a 6 months delay instead 1.5 years-3 years.

Uggh This is one of those times where I hate living in Canada, we get all of the adult american channels but never the cartoon/anime ones like Nick, or CNW. And now I've learned theres a FUNimation Channel! WHY ANIME GODS! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN MEEEEEEEEE!

Hehe, I can get the Funimation channel for free... for some bizarre reason my regular HD tv picks it up so long as I have bunny ears. Awesome. This means I don't have to pay to listen to how (horrid) the English cast sounds like...

Host Club is popular enough, mayunnnn.
