So you probably mean that selections for the next Acchan will cover up 13 episodes? No way.

If it is, finding a successor for her will be a huge challenge for the understudies, especially choosing the new center nova.

I just watched the first season in one go and I got strangely addicted to it (to the point of watching it in one go). The final part felt incomplete, but that may have left the possibility of a second season, which I'm looking forward to :D

If you've watched the end of episode 13, english subbed, it gives some hints as to what the next season is about. I think that the selection of Acchan 14th and the general selection meeting won't be short enough to fit into a movie or OAV/OVA.

I really don't get why people think there ought to be yuri in any anime with mostly girls. They are really good friends, but that doesn't make them love each other in THAT way. The girls in AKB0048 are innocent, cute and support each other as friends do, which is one reason why I like it so much. Leave the yuri to yuri only shows, please.

Why not? Love is deeper bond. Also, yuri is sexy and cute. Lesbians are still pure. It's perfect. I don't see a reason why there shouldn't be some yuri (or rather, to be exact, implied shoujo-ai). Also, there aren't many yuri shows.

Romantic love isn't a deeper bond than friendship or platonic love. It's a different type of bond, but that doesn't make it inherently deeper.

Let the yuri fans have their fun. It's not like them shipping the girls together or pairing them up is going to ruin the series itself. If they want to see a deeper bond between two girls' friendship then let them.
