Sign me up. I've always been at least a little interested in what happens during ten year gap after Kid Buu is defeated. I'm not sure if there will that much fighting, but even if there isn't, that's fine with me. As long as some of the classic Dragonball humor and adventure is intact, and I can see a bit of how the characters lived their lives.

I was excited for this until i saw the beginning of the trailer and realized it might be overly CGed, but then I saw Goku's character animation at the end and I regained hope.

I'll just pretend DBGT never existed and it was some april fools joke.

Then you should check out the story for Dragon Ball Online; it's written by Toriyama and ignores all that happened in GT. It's the official sequel to the Dragon Ball manga.

Will definitely watch this.

I've developed hatred for shounens these past few years, but DBZ will always be #1.

I'll just pretend DBGT never existed and it was some april fools joke.

I look forward to this because the author and original episode director are involved.
This tiresome glorified fanfiction milking the franchise is tiresome, so hopefully, this will be a refreshing change?

Why didn't MyAnimeList add Dragon Ball Movie 2013 yet?

Here's The Latest News:

This movie was first anounced in July 2012, in the 33rd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump. It will be the first Dragon Ball movie in 17 years to have a theatrical release, the last being the tenth anniversary movie Dragon Ball: The Path to Power in 1996, which followed the first three Dragon Ball films and the thirteen Dragon Ball Z films.

Early in July, the official website for the Weekly Shōnen Jump had already opened a "D" teaser page with a countdown to a "surprise" on Saturday, July 14, release date of the 33rd issue. The film will be directed by Masahiro Hosoda and written by Yūsuke Watanabe, with Tadayoshi Yamamuro acting as the lead animation director. In a comment printed alongside the announcement, the Dragon Ball series creator Akira Toriyama notes that the adaptation will mark the first time he has been so deeply involved in the production of an anime, in this case as early as the screenwriting stages. Toriyama also says that the film will retain the atmosphere of the original while adding small amounts of "modern flavor."
On July 14, the countdown site and official websites were changed to show Shenron, disappear, and reveal some minor information of the upcoming film, including the premiere date, staff information and companies involved in the production (Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Toei Animation, Bandai, Bandai Namco Games, and Bird Studio).

The Dragon Ball Z 2013 movie will be the 18th movie in the Dragon Ball anime series. To date, there have been 4 Dragon Ball movies and 13 Dragon Ball Z movies. Of the 13 Dragon Ball Z, all have been spin-offs that have nothing to do with the story of Dragon Ball Z. The new 2013 movie, however, will change things. Multiple sources have informed Saiyan Island the Dragon Ball Z 2013 movie story will be a part of the Dragon Ball Z series.

The timeline is between Dragon Ball Z manga chapters 323 and 324. In other words, Dragon Ball Z 2013 will tell the story of what happens after Goku defeats Kid Buu, but before the 10 year timeskip and the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament.

The director of the Dragon Ball Z 2013 movie will be Masahiro Hosoda, who has worked on Dragon Ball Z and Naruto Shippuden episodes. Screenplay will be by Yusuke Watanabe from the live-action 20th Century Boys trilogy and Tadayoshi Yamamuro from Dragon Ball Movie 4: The Path to Power and One Piece Film Strong World will be acting as the lead animation director. Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Z, and his company (Bird Studio) will be deeply involved in the production of the movie.

There is a list of other companies who are also involved in the production, including Toei Animation, Fox International Productions Japan, Shueisha, Fuji TV, Bandai, and Namco Bandai Games. Dragon Ball Z 2013 (tentative title) will be released in Japanese theaters on March 30, 2013. No word for a North American or European release at this time.
