Blu-ray of Strike Witches The Movie Due in October

According to Amazon Japan, the Blu-ray and the DVD of Strike Witches The Movie were announced to be released on October 26th. The total box office revenue of the movie was 200 million yen ($2.6 million).

Akagi Haruyasu, the executive director of anime CGI studio Anima (".hack//The Movie: Sekai no Mukou ni"), posted on his Twitter that a new anime of Strike Witches is likely to be produced following Vivid Red Operation because a continuation of the series was hinted at the end of the movie and emphasized by the lines of Eila.

I happened to be in Japan on holiday the time the movie was showing, so I can give a bit more insight into it. Don't worry, I'm not going to spoiler anything that happened. The movie was 100% new content, not a single moment repeated from the series. It's set a while after the end of S2. "because a continuation of the series was hinted at the end of the movie" is kinda understating it, the movie ended with the words "to be continued" (in japanese) on the screen. The movie itself did end at a proper self-contained conclusion though.

Oh and the most important thing about it: IT WAS AWESOME!

Fascinating, will it en-clench a winning streak against the Neuroid's main power not just SPAWNS of it such as those Nest whom are like Carriers for smaller types that come out. Worst shit is IMO they communicate themselves. One can acquire something to use as weapon and makes the other able to use it too eventually or right away as one of the smaller types. Kind of like the Vajras.

So knowing all that like at the end of S2 and this movie coming I can hope we have winning blow to show some certainty in a marvelous mindfuck 24 series S3 that can conclude the end of the Neuroid and planet Earth safe...maybe?

Do you mean you're worried about it being recap? The movie has already been through theaters, and it's a brand new story.
