Benesse Corporation has distributed a promotional OVA for their correspondence education service "Shinken Semi High School Course". Benesse has been well-known for spending large amount of money on direct‐mail advertising.

I watched this because Nakai Kazuya was in it. Waited for his character til the end of the first part and it turns out he's just a salesman voice? Really?

The captions are as awful as everyone else has said. The animation is nice though and I feel sorry for the main character but I don't know if I'll watch the rest. Too disappointed already.

That makes me wonder, does JC Staff or Manglobe have the rights to the TV series? I kinda figured they just sourced out the movie to Manglobe since JC Staff was too busy with other stuff.

AFAIK at least in case of Hayate they didn't loose - like 7000 of sold DVD and BD
plus those DVD sold with manga - and that would be like 65 000
I cannot find how much they've earned in cinemas :/

but TWGOK was a failure - not as series but that they decided on second season (was it they listened to fans... deadly mistake)

made a profit? Lol, those two made more than just profit, Hayate alone got 2 seasons with 70+ episodes not to mention the OVA's, TWOGK got 2 seasons and the 3 will most likely air in this summer or winter 2013.

Didn't the TWGOK animation team disband recently or something? I feel like if that's the case there won't be a 3rd season at all, as unfortunate as that is.
