Kyou no Go no Ni Gets TV Anime Adaptation

MOONPHASE Diary reports that a Kyou no Go no Ni (Today in Class 5-2) anime will broadcast in the fall. The slice-of-life manga series about elementary school kids by Koharu Sakuraba has already be adapted into a 4 episode OVA series that released from March 2006 to March 2007. No word on whether the TV adaptation will retain the same cast and crew.

Kyou no Go no Ni and Minami-ke are both manga by Sakuraba Coharu, Haruhi doesn't appear anywhere in that equation. Also, most readers/viewers apparently give credit to Azumanga Daioh for the recent popularity of slice of life comedy.

Is it really needed? It was great show, but all the manga was already animated in OVA, i dont see a point of making it TV series. It would be better to see something new, not remake or fillers eps.

Loved the manga but fucking hated the OAV due to the excessive innuendo (no surprise there since it was made by an animation company specializing in hentai). I hope it would be given proper treatment this time.
