Skip Beat Manga To Be Animated

An anime based on the popular shoujo manga, Skip Beat (by Yoshiki Nakamura), has been confirmed for fall. It will be directed by Kiyoko Sayama who directed such series as Pretear, Princess Tutu, and Vampire Knight - which is currently airing. The voice cast has not yet been announced.

I heard about that sometime ago too and I'd think it'd be great but I'm sure I'll prefer the anime since I still disagree with the majority of the people that Ariel Lin would fit Kyoko. Ariel Lin is a great actress but she can never be Kyoko for me.

I'm hoping for Kawasumi Ayako because she is so versatile and makes her voices somewhat different for every character.

I dunno if they would animate HanaKimi so soon after doing the live action drama. Then again, they did it with Gokusen (put out an anime shortly after the live action was successful) , so who knows...

There is supposedly going to be a live action Skip Beat drama too (a Taiwan drama). I look forward to that as well :D

Awesome! I was pretty into this manga for a while, so I'm sure I'll check out the animated series. I'm just thinking in my head now who's going to do the voice overs.

I, too, would love to see TCP animated before Skip Beat... but I guess we can only hope.

Anyways, yay for Skip Beat. Nakamura Yoshiki is a genius. I just hope animation will be better than in Vampire Knight.
