I randomly started the manga a couple years ago. I liked it but the releases were pretty slow and it didnt seem to be getting much attention.
Im surprised its getting an anime. I guess i can wait for this instead of catching up on the latest chapter releases.

For those who are curious it has a little Black Lagoon vibe to it.

How has nobody noticed that Nagi (The singer for Supercell) is singing the ending song?

I hope this show ends up being good - it looks interesting.

Sounds pretty decent, I'll probably try this out.

The manga really dissapointed me. It's Black Lagoon but with shota and yuri. D:

What you thought was supposed to make me dislike this shot it to the top of my interest list.

With Iwasaki composing, this instantly became a must watch. Back when I was an anime newb it was his Get Backers soundtrack that sent chills down my spine, before I even knew who he was. And, more recently, it was his Angel Hearts soundtrack that impressed me.

Angel Hearts is similar to Jormungand in the sense it balanced some lighthearted moments with guns/death. That said, we can probably expect more of this type of moody music when Jormungand airs:

I made that BL manga rec, btw. I've been buying the English manga releases, and the manga is set to finish in Japan early next year.

Straight on my PTW list - we don't get too many action seinin's these days (unless I'm missing them)?
Looking forward to this one.

I loved Katanagatari and Steins Gate so I'm looking forward to this. The descriptions aren't really interesting though, so my expectations aren't super high.

Black Lagoon + Plot = win can't wait!

This sure sounds interesting, will watch. I don't expect it to be too good, but it will be entertaining nonetheless. And maybe I'm positively surprised and it becomes as good as, let's say, Black Lagoon.

According to ANN:

STAFF
Director: Keitarou Motonaga (Katanagatari, School Days)
Script: Yousuke Kuroda (Mobile Suit Gundam 00)
Music: Taku Iwasaki (Gurren Lagann, Katanagatari)
Character Design: Kazuhisa Nakamura (Katanagatari, Steins;Gate animation director)

CAST
Koko Hekmatyar: Shizuka Itou
Jonah: Mutsumi Tamura
Valmet: Sayaka Ohara
Lehm: Unshou Ishizuka

Staff checks out as far I'm concerned. The only worrying part is the director, but he did a great job on Katanagatari.

It's nice to see White Fox got Taku Iwasaki again, especially since this is going to be an anime with lots of action apparently.

Edit: And now the main post is updated with this info.

That man can do no wrong. So glad he's all over the place lately.

Anyway, great cast, great staff. I'm even more excited for the show now.

So no vikings, huh. I'm kind of disappointed.

I may pick it up on principle of seinen, but I don't know...

I haven't really been able to get into the manga, but it strikes me as one of those series that could work quite well in animated format. Will definitely give it a shot.
