According to Tsutsui Yasutaka's official website, an anime project of his light novel "Bianca Overstudy" was revealed to be underway. The production company is Aniplex. The first three chapters of the novel were published in Faust magazine in 2008 with the illustrations drawn by Ito Noizi.

Art of Bianca Overstudy by Ito Noizi

Tsutsui Yasutaka is a 77-year-old best seller novelist, who is well-known as the author of Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (1967) and Paprika (1993). He was inspired by the Suzumiya Haruhi series and became one of the oldest light novel authors with the publication of "Bianca Overstudy".

Synopsis:
Bianca is a beautiful girl who attracts the attention of all the boys. When observing the fertilization of a frog's egg, she suddenly wants to see what human sperm looks like. She offers a handjob to one of her classmate Chihara and says, "Could you give me your sperm? I need it for my research."

.....What a synopsis. And which part of it is inspired from Haruhi? The school club part? But still, it sounds interesting. Will watch this for sure.

A Synopsis that has caught my full interest since it's filled with a very twisted plot to it ^_^

Actually I 100% expect a plot like this from Yasutaka Tsuisui. If people actually read his books other than The Girl who Leapt Through Time and paprika, he's can be a really damn horny guy. Furthermore, his works are usually extremely 'mindfuck'.

He somehow made a story about a planet entirely dominated by sex into some form of interesting social commentary. (Come on, even the title is called Salmonella men on Planet Porno)

Therefore, I have complete faith that he can pull off this work.

Frankly, I'm going to laugh my ass off if this becomes one of the best anime of the year. And, no, I'm not making fun of the synopsis. I'm making fun of all of these people freaking out before the show even airs.

There are a lot more people raging about freaking out than there are people actually freaking out, and freaking out because of a synopsis isn't nearly as bad as the ragers are making it seem. When you go to the library or book store and see a book with an interesting title do you run home or to a computer and google everything about it, learning all its twist and turns and even its tedious events, or do you flip it over a look at the synopsis written on the back? If you'll argue that you don't read books then I ask instead, when you see a new anime or manga do you read the synopsis or just throw it on your plan to watch list because it looks pretty?

Of course that question isn't aimed at you specifically, but at people like you who have posted comments like that.

Yes, I look at the synopsis. But, I know better than to write something off just because of a crappy synopsis and I also know that, just because something seems interesting in summary, doesn't mean it's going to be all that great when you actually read/watch it. My point is that people should try it instead of just writing it off just because of a few words.

Ever heard of Onani Master Kurosawa? If you haven't I'll share the synopsis for you:

"Onani- means masturbation. And that's what this guy is good at. Every day after school, he sneaks into the mostly unused girls bathroom on the 3rd floor, and masturbates. Until one day when he's caught....."

Now what if I told you that is actually a well respected work that is generally considered fairly thought provoking? This is exactly why you shouldn't judge something purely by synopsis.

Of course, that doesn't mean THIS is going to be well done or anything, but I digress.
You're quite right, and it can work in reverse that a well written synopsis can be used to make a terrible work seem good.

Since 100 percent of the time animated Light novel's/manga don't follow at all.

There are just so much things wrong with this, I can't even facepalm.

Perfect example of successful light novel adaptation would be Bakemonogatari and Suzumiya Haruhi.

I think Toaru Majutsu no Index and Shana for example could also be called successful, but more in terms of the sells than the content.
ovindel said 'dont follow', not 'successful'. Thus indez and shana+overall JCShits should not be included, honestly.

I mean, it's Tsutsui Yasutaka's work, so it can't (shouldn't) be That bad...can it?

I was sold when I saw his name and his work, but you lost me at the summary. I really don't know what to say. Either it'll be really good, or really, really bad. -.-V

This sounds glorious.

I'm at a loss for words... like really. This feels like Francis Ford Coppola. after doing movies like Godfather, Apocalypse Now, then he went and did Jack. ehh. I will give this a shot though.

I'm anticipate giving this a very low score.

Can you prove this? I'll wait.

What a Synopsis ! But ill watch it anyways!. Hope it won't be like B gata H Kei with all the De ja Vu through out the episodes.

What i find interesting is when people look at something , perceive it as horrible and said's "Japan Im disappointed" just because the author is Japanese xP
It should be like " Tsutsui YasutakaIm disappointed" lol.

But in my taste i think its going to be good if the animated version will follow the story in the Novel. Since 100 percent of the time animated Light novel's/manga don't follow at all.

I am a bit WTF-ed by the synopsis at the beginning, but you give me a perfect example of how people shouldn't judging anything before the story really starts. Thanks...

I remembered the past feeling, the WTF+lol feeling of why the heck I give a story about onani a spot in my 5 top manga list...Even until now I still recommend OMK to anyone who has an open mind and willing to read past until the first 10 chapters, I guess. After that, an autohook.

So, I'll try some episodes before judging.

Onani Master is a very good example of that stuff with a synopsis like this can turn out to be very good. It's one of my favorites too.

The design art looks awful to me. These damn lolis look all the same. But the plot sounds stupid enough to watch it. Still expeceted something better from the author who made Paprika and Tokikake...
