Postponements of Manga Magazines Due to the Earthquake

According to Japan Magazine Publishers Association, 191 magazines have been canceled or postponed due to the earthquake. The distribution channels have been disrupted and there has been a shortage of paper.

Weekly Shonen Jump
Vol.17 was announced to be delayed for one week. It will be released on April 4th. The release schedule will be back to normal from vol.18.

Weekly Young Jump
Vol.18 and vol.19 will be combined into one issue and be released on March 31st. No release on April 7th. The release schedule will be back to normal from vol.20.

Monthly Jump Square
May (Apr 4) and June issue (May 2) will be combined into one and will be released on April 21st.

Weekly Shonen Magazine, Magazine Special, Monthly Magazine KC
The release schedules after March 28th have been under consideration.

Weekly Shonen Sunday
The release schedules after March 28th have been under consideration. The editors haven't fully grasp the situation yet.

Who knows if gintama isnt going to be postponed/cancelled too... Anyway my hat's off for Japan... I mean with all this crisis going on they'r still able to think clearly, draw awesomely, and publish normally like nothings happened, GO JAPAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well this is to be expected. the reactor meltdown risk hasn't really helped with the recovery either so things are going to slow down quite a bit for the coming days till everything is settled. the biggest risk right now is the radiation.
