Well, Gintama and Strong World did fantastically. I'm happy with that. Also that Hetalia's in there at all, considering it only opened on ten screens. What's up with that btw? I'm surprised - I know it's still largely only popular on t'internets, but surely it's exploded enough by now to have a screening in all the remotely major cities.

Dec 25, 2010 1:56 AM by Sandileina

Time of Eve only had 10 screenings? Such blasphemy.

haha Gundam 00 is higher than Haruhi even thought it got released in september xD

Not true. SEED was overall more popular than 00 in Japan because SEED appealed also to female watchers. Traditional Gundam fanbase likes 00 more than SEED though as far as I know.

What not true? Anyways, it was a comparison between 00 and Unicorn. SEED is the only Gundam series to win AOTY award. But personally I liked 00 more than SEED. Of course, the difference could be, I watched it in dubbed version compared to 00. Well re-watching SEED in original japanese language again, and it seems great. Kira was a pansy though, still is and always will be. Setsuna on the other hand, is an embodiment of Gundam itself. Says none other than the awesome Lockon N. Stratos.

Sticking to on topic, One Peace and Gintama movies just pawned rest of the anime series sequel/retelling/adaptations/spin off movies.

It's not true that 00 has most fangirls when it comes to Gundam series. I just wanted to correct that.

People need to divide total revenue by number of screens for a better picture.

Gundam would have done better, more fangirls for 00 than any other gundam series. The added demographic probably pushed the movies higher. Plus 30 years of fandom. Haruhi did surprisingly well for a series that came out in 06.

Unicorn > 00 I agree. Better animation. Better story. BETTER PHYSICS!

Gundam was extreme excitement.

Then you should watch Unicorn and before that, all the UC time-line Gundam. Because Unicorn is leagues better than Gundam 00!

Okkkkk. No.

lol. and I just told Matou exactly that in her profile. XD

Arrietty is one of my favorite Ghibli movies (next to Totoro), I'm glad it did so well, it totally deserves it.
I haven't seen any other movie from the list, though...

''88scr Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer''

Given that you say to you Haruhi, Gundam 00 can say that great inside.

What?
Gundam clearly has a more diverse fanbase, and it has a larger one. In the other hand, Haruhi is usually stuck with teens and/or otakus.

You are wrong I am nor Gundam fan ,I watched only Gundam00

has nothing to do with it, Gundam fan too but since 2006 have Haruhi fans and in the same way MAL and Japan.I think only otaku or teen for anime that restricts the anime or movie.

Gundam was extreme excitement and Haruhi was boring.

I just can not say for Gundam, the other very good films.

I'm surprised that Haruhi is that low.

Damn, someone beat me to it.

Make that 3. I'm also extremely surprised at that.

With the exception of Gundam, Haruhi had the lowest number of screenings of any movie in the top 16. Considering that, it is a pretty good number.
