The sooner that show dies the better
Well It´s better than a long-running series

I really enjoyed S&W (tv series). I have not read any of the novels and have only watched S&W season 1. I am waiting for Funimation's release or hulu to have all the subbed S2 shows available. After that, i'll definitely read the novels (one way or the other).
From what I understand (not sure if the novels veer from the 'main' goal), the goal was for Lawrence to accompany Holo back to her home in the north. Then we're shown there escapades, growing relationship and little plot devices along the way. All good stuff, but as someone said, this isn't a Bleach type show to run forever. Something has to happen to get to their goal.
I'm not one to wish for happy endings, but since this show is unique compared to what's generally available, i do hope for one (not a bad ending, not a bittersweet ending and certainly not an ending open to interpretation).

I am seriously hoping that a final season will be given to the anime so that I can get some closure on the series without having to wait for the novels to all be translated. Loved the show. I learned more about economics from that series than from my teacher at school.
This.
I don't want to wait 5+ years for the whole series!
It's going to take as long as the higurashi manga (that has more frequent releases but way more volumes)

also, it makes it easier for a production stuff to catch up to the novel ^_^

Sadly, I thought the Novel was better than the anime. So the good stuff ends first and the weirdo fanservice dump gets ready to churn out a third season. Damn

However, there's now a better chance of 3rd season coming out, or maybe a Spice and Wolf movie, perhaps? Good things will happen before it all ends, I'm hoping. =)
