DO NOT WATCH THE ANIME. A captivating, interesting, and compelling story with interesting and unique characters. All in all, a fulfilling and enjoyable experience (to a degree), although it is not for everyone. Most importantly, DO NOT WATCH THE ANIME. EVER.

Gantz
Senseless gore, death, and violence with plot armor that comes and goes sporadically. Its climax is unnecessarily edgy for the sake of being edgy. It's readable though, and its at least interesting.

An oldie but a goodie. A moving story of the human condition. Dynamic and likable characters with individuality, Formulaic, but then again it finished in 1980 so it came before a lot of the others that follow its formula.
