Usually my pace slows at the end of a long series because I don't want to say goodbye to the characters and the world. This was the first time that I was so entranced that those thoughts didn't even occur to me until after I'd finished.

Argh, it just needed 5-10 more pages to wrap things up and talk about a moral or something. Still, it was a fun read.

I liked this a lot more than the anime. I don't know why. Something about the pacing maybe? Or perhaps the extended length allowed better characterization? The story was both easier to follow and more moving. Goosebump-inducing, even.

14: Shinonome was able to do what he couldn't do when he was a kid because he became an adult. Wow.
28: Interesting chapter (The Master's life).

32: I've noticed that this series has gradually gotten much more serious. I haven't been laughing out loud at all since the early chapters. Still, it's very good.

8: "Magical Girl" would have been a better translation than "Puella Magi" just for the sake of Kyuubey's last line here (re magical girls being the source of witches).

8: Mami-san confirmed for most interesting character (being, in actuality, lonely and wanting friends to fight with to keep her company; using her wish to "save me" as opposed to "save us").

Gonna need to reread this to really appreciate it.
