Synopsis

It's Shouko Komi's first day at the prestigious Itan Private High School, and she has already risen to the status of the school's Madonna. With long black hair and a tall, graceful appearance, she captures the attention of anyone who comes across her. There's just one problem though—despite her popularity, Shouko is terrible at communicating with others.

Hitohito Tadano is your average high school boy. With his life motto of "read the situation and make sure to stay away from trouble," he quickly finds that sitting next to Shouko has made him the enemy of everyone in his class! One day, knocked out by accident, Hitohito later wakes up to the sound of Shouko’s 'meow.' He lies that he heard nothing, causing Shouko to run away. But before she can escape, Hitohito surmises that Shouko is not able to talk to others easily—in fact, she has never been able to make a single friend. Hitohito resolves to help Shouko with her goal of making one hundred friends so that she can overcome her communication disorder.

This is a manga about a girl with communication problem, komi-san, her everyday life and how she can get over this disturbance she has. Spoiler free review

Well, to start a TL;DR in topic:
+ a cute romance with simple moments like a telephone's call, share an umbrela, express your feelings with textting
+ good main characters, and i woud say the best 'extremally simple' main character i already saw
+ a good comedy about communication problem

- very poor supporting characters

Story 9/10
In addition to helping the main heroine, Komi-san wants to have 100 friends.
At first it does not apresent an innovative proposal, several mangas have this, but what read more

Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu has a simple premise, MC Komi is adored by everyone in her class and people in general, however, she has a major communication problem. She can't talk to people at all, gets nervous easily about the simplest interactions and nobody notices this, until Tadano noticed it, and became her first friend. After that, we meet some new people and usually each chapter has some short story to tell that are really interesting and funny.

Story 10/10
The premise I wrote above, it is really interesting to see how Komi handles everything, from interactions with her family, classmates or people in general to her read more

Story: 10/10 - There is no story, and there doesn't always need to be some epic tale of adventure to make a media enjoyable; and that's what Komi-san is. Pure, unadulterated enjoyment.

The tl;dr is the main heroine, Komi-san - is a beautiful, intelligent girl with crippling social anxiety. With the help of our main character Tadano, Komi-san hopes to make 100 friends. This premise serves as a segue to meet a string of colorful supporting characters, and allow them to interact in fun everyday events, that are totally new and unique to previously friendless Komi.

Art: 9/10 - Good, clean art with fun caricatures. Komi is, read more

*Manga not yet completed; review has been written for up to Ch. 112*

Komi-san wa Comyushou desu is painfully mediocre, to the point in which it becomes detrimental rather than safe.

This is not, in any way, a unique, innovative, or even remotely interesting offering. Yes! This is to be expected of anything falling under the slice-of-life genre; HOWEVER, there are still expectations to be met.

Rather than putting in the effort to individually craft each character, the writer shamelessly embraces the tropes in anime - all of the students at the school are the very embodiment of whatever archetypes we are familiar with, such as (but read more
