The Manga Taisho (マンガ大賞) is an annual Japanese manga award. The award is limited to series with eight or fewer collected volumes, in order to promote newer titles. The nominating committee, composed of staff members from bookstores, each initially vote for five series and the titles with the top ten number of votes become the official nominees of the year. Finally a second round of voting determines the winner, as well as second and third place. ![]() ![]() Survival list that includes manga and manwha. No military drama or mafia flicks. ![]() ![]() Queer/gay/lesbian/queer/NBLW/NBLM/bisexual/pansexual/omnisexual/asexual/aromantic transgender characters in manga. I'm not putting manga that are based on game. ![]() ![]() Manga series with covers that feature recurring design and composition elements, consistent art styles, gradual changes that show intent and overall harmony of the entire collection. I'm open to suggestions, I try not to add too many “standing character” situations, but will do so if the art is striking enough. ![]() ![]() Science fiction manga that feature LGBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, binary transgender, non-binary, genderqueer, intersex, pansexual, asexual, aromantic, etc.) characters. Some are headcanons- those are indicated by question marks. ![]() ![]() If something like Kamisama Kiss is 100% focused on romance, and something like One Piece is 0% focused on romance, these would be in the 20–45% range. Some general points to keep in mind: ![]() ![]() More trans characters from shounen and seinen manga. Some are headcanons- those are indicated by question marks.
