/My first time to review that's why sorry if there are parts that are confusing (also my wrong grammars)
"When people die, they become stars and float in the sky. As time passes, they become shooting stars and fall to the earth. The fallen stars become things like fuel, high quality materials etc. The one who find those fallen stars/shooting stars are called "Star Hunters"
One day, a Star Hunter called "Suzume" found a special shooting star. Instead of becoming a material, that star has form of a person to carry out its mission and has special abilities like turning
their hand into a gun.
A special shooting star only occurs when you continue to fervently wish upon the stars up above. They will become the so-called 'special shooting star' that can grant any kind of wish you want.
"Meteor Syndrome" is what they call people obsessively continue to make wishes to the stars.
Coincidentally, the shooting star that she found is someone that she knew when she was small. That someone is called "Yodaka" who died when he was 9 years old.
At the start, it gets very interesting but when you reached the middle... it gets kinda cliché and cheesy.
The ending is a bittersweet one. But yeah, I expected it to happen.
If you saw Iwamoto Naoki's previous works, you might also think that the art is really good. It is very detailed.
The author's art style is cute, chibi and moe. As a girl, of course I loved it! haha.
On the first few pages. Prepare your heart to see a fanservice... it startled me actually because I didn't expected that to happen haha.
I saw a strikingly resemblance of the main characters here to the main characters of Magico (other work of Iwamoto Naoki)
First, Suzume has the same situation with Emma (the main heroine in Magico)
/not good at cooking
Second, Yodaka the special shooting star.
Just by looking, you can see his RESEMBLANCE to Shion (main guy in Magico)
/The above the shoulder or over the shoulder white hair.
/The dead fish eyes
/cute smile (when the girl that they love did something cute or when she smiled)
/not good at cooking
Finally, the villains (don't know if this is necessary haha)
The Dusthounds. they are also a star hunter but they are the 'aggressive' type.
One of them kinda reminds me of Tomura Shigaraki from Boku no Hero Academia. (that guy who wears a mask, only covering his mouth)
Then the final boss comes. Who is called "Cappie" the head of the Dusthounds.
Just like what I said earlier. The start was very interesting but when you reached the middle to the end, it gets kinda boring.
Nevertheless, I think the story/plot is very unique. I haven't seen mangas like this and it fascinated me.
I can tell that the author is good at making unique stories but when he/she reaches the end, it gets very messy. That's why some might say that this manga is a trash etc.
I tend to look at the bright side that's why I think that, this manga is definitely worth to read.
If you already read Iwamoto Naoki's other works like Magico. You will enjoy this.
If you still haven't
Please do try to read this and Iwamoto Naoki's other works if you have time.
Again, its my first time reviewing that's why I'm very sorry if there are parts that were confusing.
Please do send me messages if you think that there are areas that I need to improve to write a good review next time :)
