Se você gostar bastante da comedia e estilo de drama do Raiku, acredito que esse manga possa te agradar. Ele é bastante caótico e engraçado, você consegue sentir a paixão que o autor tem para fazer os dramas dos personagens, as estratégias não convencionais, poderes e monstros bastante únicos. O elenco é bastante restrito em relação a Gash Bell por exemplo, senti que por causa da conclusão adiantada que a serie teve, personagens como Nita que eu acreditava incialmente seriam mais aproveitados e importantes para a série foram bastante desperdiçados, chegando até não aparecer no fim da série. Outros que eram na minha ... impressão apenas alívios cômicos, ganharam mais destaque que eu desejava, como o senpai que resolve a situação com o vilão final.

Acho que a serie possuía muito potencial gosto bastante da escrita do autor e como ele mistura a comedia e drama, e cria muita emoção e carisma para cada um de seus personagens, até mesmos os vilões da semana de Gash Bell, muitos apareceram por poucos capítulos ou episódios, mas que ainda assim eram marcantes o suficiente para se emocionar. Vector ball consegue criar esses momentos, mas sinto que não a tempo. Se a série tivesse mais tempo para solidificar o elenco, desenvolver mais o grupo principal e o mundo, ela com certeza entregaria uma história bem melhor do que foi. Por fim recomendo ler ainda que não seja uma história perfeita, mas que ainda sim, possui o estilo do autor que eu acho que é muito melhor do que alguns outros mangás do gênero.

I have many fond memories with both the Zatch Bell anime and manga series, so when I realised that the mangaka responsible had a new series that flew under the radar of most people, I just had to get my hands on it and take a read. Though the first few chapters of Vector Ball reminded me of the goofiest moments in Zatch Bell (a welcome nostalgic feeling for sure one thing), one thing about the manga that irked me a lot was the overly simplistic art that clearly emphasised gags over illustrative intent or dramatic tension. Not exactly the right style for a Shonen ... action manga if you ask me.

It does not help that Vector Ball's writing was just simply too on the nose for my tastes. Maybe I've just outgrown the Shonen style of storytelling (telling everything to the reader), but the best Shonen works don't simply just tell the reader's story beats, they involve the reader in the world and characters by emphasising emotions and desperate plights. Sadly, while Vector Ball does make some attempts, they come off as shallow and unimpactful. This is likely due to the manga's poor pacing. It shoots too fast with its story, emphasising the plot over the motivations of its main characters beyond the tension posed by the setting (character motivations fly by so quickly, you barely register its importance). This is not helped by the predictable plotting and unbelievable story and worldbuilding setups crammed in to insistently push the story toward the next high stakes moment.

Overall, I'm just a little disappointed. Still, if there is any good thing to come out of this, it's the desire to re-read Zatch Bell once again.
