Manga: Houtou Ouji to Toraware no Kemono
Both stories are about a beautiful dark skinned tribal man and his love for a fair foreigner. I'd say Mother's Spirit is a more superior story plot wise, since Houtou Ouji's romance development in the 1st 2 chapters is way too rushed to be justified.

In both the couple consists of a japanese man and a tribal resident. In "Mother's Spirit" they meet through a exchange program, in "Razoku no Hanayome" a japanese actor gets lost in the jungle and meets the tribe. At the beginning of both, they have communication difficulties.
