- Both girls have parent-related problems and hence run away from their house(s) - Both leads are refreshing and not your commonplace cliche heroines. - Both main leads are surrounded by guys in their new place and find love there. - Both main leads fall in love with the owner of their respective residences - Even titles are similar. Both titles involve "Taiyou"= sun and use it as a metaphor. - Both are shojo and romance, of course. - Love triangles. Readers of one will surely love the other.

Similar art and in both manga the main girl falls in love with a man older than them.

Both stories are quite similar in their structure. Both are about a teenage girl who moves into a house with 3 boys and they are the only girl. They both have romantic relations with one or more of the boys in the household. Yumemiru Taiyou is more based on romance, but Fruits Basket has a fantasy aspect to it also.

I thought about Yumemiru Taiyou as soon as I saw Principal. They have similar art style, characters, and overall mood. Even the names of the main characters: Shima/Shimana. Both stories revolve around a girl who moves/runs away from home and ends up meeting new people and becoming family with them. She makes friends, falls in love, falls out of love, falls in love again. Both stories progress and develop nicely, and give insights into lives and issues of many characters, so the focus isn't solely on the main female character and her love life. Yumemiru Taiyou is twice as long as Principal, but totally worth  read more

Boarding houses and love triangles with seemingly cliche characters who turn out to be much more complicated and lovable. Haven't actually read Dreamin Sun yet, but I've read some spoilers, however I absolutely adore Short Cake Cake's characters, Ten and Riku.

P to JK has a high school girl having a relationship with a police officer, while Yumemiru Taiyou has a high school girl having a relationship with her landlord. In both scenarios, the girls have an older male interest and each male protagonist, from both manga, have a unique profession (you don't see too many landlords and police officers, right?).

Both have a younger FL and an older MLs. Friendship, bickering, and familial bonds between them. Good chemistry and cheekiness of both leads. I do find Tora to Ookami less cliche than YT though.(at least as far as ch12)

Although Yumemiru Taiyou is far less dramatic and Kore wa Koi no Hanashi on the other hand doesn't offer much comedy, despite being quite different these two stories share common themes of family, friendship, and love. They also share the feeling of hope they create and leave afterwards.

Love in Focus and Dreamin' Sun are two shoujo romance manga about a high school girl who moves into a boarding house that includes men who may be potential love interests; one of them is associated with a certain animal which feels like a bit of a coincidence when noticing the similarities between the two. Themes relating to love like unsure and unrequited feelings are present in both series, and the overall art looks relatively clean too.

Living no Matsunaga-san is much more light hearted than Yumemiru Taiyou (not to say it isn't light hearted), but share similar troupes. Both are about a group of people of different ages living together and love developing into loves triangles and beyond. They are both about a high school girl falling for a working man and the difficulties that come with it. They both even have some conflicts about one of the FL's teachers.

It's both about the relationship between the landlord and the tenant. They both have beautiful art.

- Both of them are shoujo romances - They both go through the daily lives/romances of a group of boys and one girl - The main girl likes one of the guys but he likes someone else, so she tries to help them get together before the girl he likes goes aboard - Both deal with love triangles - Both are really funny but also have a lot of touching moments

A girl living with a group of guys- It has a bunch of twists to keep you guessing who she'll end up with.

For some reason these both remind me of each other... perhaps it's just the mood, or the feel that they give you... but regardless, they're both great! (:

Both deal with a group of strangers living together and developing significant bonds with each other.

both have a main characters which are cute but slightly tomboyish. both involve love triangles - the two guy charcters from both manga are very very similar in a way. both art are pretty similar :)

Storylines are pretty similar! And involve kimono-wearing bishounen. The difference is in Yumemiru Taiyou, Shimana runs away from home, while in Kimi wo Matsu, two brothers run away from home. Both are about a girl who is surrounded by handsome boys.

The heroine in both mangas feel they're useless and a man comes along to show them otherwise.

Similiar genres (both shoujo), and in both mangas the main character is a female that runs away and ends up living with strangers. The people she moves in with each have their own quirks (like a panda obsessed boy in YT and a boy who always wears a mask in INN). They both include plenty of humor (more in YT) and INN is a little dark, but in general if you like one, you'll probably like the other.
