At the time in writing this, only 104 of people have read this manga according to MAL. It feels so underappreciated!!! I'm baffled nobody has made a review yet as this has been out for some years now.

This manga is fucking AWESOME! A gang disguised as a café/cake shop??? They kill other gangs? Protecting a mafia boss's daughter?? He lOVes cAKes and is secret sOFTIE??? YEs?? I love seeing the gang interact with each other. They feel like actually people than "Oh no spooky mafia guys like to kill ppl". Everyone has a pretty stereotypical personality, they kind of feel like Black Butler's guys (Ciel, ... Finny, the glasses girl, and the military chef dude) but without the needless failure and destroying things constantly.

What I love especially is the brutality when it comes to Vencent. He does not hold back. Nobody does. When it starts, we're opened up immediately to him mercilessly destrOYInG a man. It's wonderful. A lot of fights have a lot of damage done and slice action looks smooth as all fuck. It's pretty satisfying for some reason...

The character development is decent too. They don't dive into deep deep backstory, more like "These are your guys. Here is some information behind them. Enjoy them in their present." The most backstory you get revolves around the most important dude, Vencent. But still, their playful demeanor and care for each other is super warming. They truly enforce the goal of them being family in a not so overly sappy way.
**Main guys are OP as hell, but it's still good to read. The pacing isn't supposed to have long and difficult fights. The point is for them to be quick and dirty.**

The art is p r e t t y. It looks good and then goes chaotic in moments to give it a good feel. I really love the transition from a comedy happy hour feel to "Let's kill some mfs". It's just f u n. The action scenes would look so radical if animated by the right studio. Honestly, this is a worth read. Watching an adaptation would be so rad too.

Art, nice. Story, fun as hell. Fights, short but hYPE. Characters, genuine. Enjoyment, to the max.

On one hand, I love this manga dearly. It's got a unique setting and amazing character concepts. on the other hand, I feel like it's just too short and lacks development.

The art is frankly stunning, detailed yet easy to read, vibrant, lively, and dynamic. The characters are sympathetic and loveable, and the whole plot and concept is really unique. The action scenes are dramatic and fluid and are jaw-dropping. I absolutely love the cafe and the way the characters interact with it. However, it just doesn't have the length it needs to give adequate development to the plot and characters. There are definitely some ... distinct and effective character-building moments, but some characters get brutally sidelined due to the length, so they feel far less interesting and fleshed out than they could've been and are harder to emote with as a result.The plot itself is interesting, but again, it could do with just more length to develop the complex relationships between characters and to really give the story time to breathe, it feels like there's just not enough time to have a super strong and intriguing plot because it doesn't fit within the 23 chapters - even though they are relatively long.

Overall, I do love this manga, and I think it's definitely worth the time it takes to read. It's hard not to enjoy Vincent and Fiona. There are definitely a few flaws, and I do think there was too much attempted for the length, but I'd say it's worth the read anyway as its strengths really outweigh its flaws.
