The Kodansha Manga Award (講談社漫画賞, Koudansha Manga Shou) is an annual award for serialized manga published in the previous year, the event is sponsored by the publisher Kodansha. It is currently awarded in three categories: shounen, shoujo, and general. The awards began in 1977, initially with categories for shounen and shoujo. The first award for the general category was in 1982, and the first children's category's award was in 2003. The children's category was merged into the shounen and shoujo categories starting in 2015.   More or less short manga reads in my PTR   With several different forms of it:   Number of sales and date that number was acquired from in notes for each. Some of them I have personally estimated a higher figure than the date says.  Mix of both Delinquent or Yakuza Mangas that i have enjoyed some better then others   Manga that I believe are highly underrated and deserve more attention.   Scamboli Reviews is an anime and gaming YouTuber. Scamboli reviews anime, manga and answers common questions about popular anime with his own perspective.   Usage of (different types of) guns in these manga is pretty common.   Comedy contrasting a skillful or dangerous person with everyday life   While it might look like you don't really need to know all of this, you never know when it will be useful: for instance with quizzes, random questions that you wouldn't know the answer to otherwise, fun facts to tell someone else, or if there's trouble or necessity of intervention in your vicinity.   Series that feature assassins, hitman, etc.     These are unique or extremely good manga in their own aspect! All these manga and manhwa are or were listed in the club relations, and I personally have made a 150-400 word defense (the first one being an exception) for each of them, you can find the thread in the club discussions, or you can go straight there with this URL:  Manga with exceptionally good artwork, not something that's the same boring black and white generic faces/body types. But instead manga that takes its artwork seriously, the artist knows how to create a scene, give each character unique appearances.   All of these are extraordinary, impactful, enjoyable or just a crazy read   Must-read seinen!   Slice of life manga involving things like death, suicide, murder, depression, anxiety, paranoia, racism, survival, dark secrets(ex.cloning), loss/decline in/of civilisation etc.     *This is my opinion*   Part 2 of a list of animated adaptations, of which if they were given, they would possibly shake up social networks for some other reason. |
