The Sleepless King summons young ladies to the palace every night and make them tell him bedtime stories, and the penalty for failing to lull him to sleep is death. The one who finally managed to sooth the king to sleep is Lady Farasha, who volunteered as the storyteller in order to save her imprisoned father. But how was she able to accomplish the impossible? Is there more to the relationship between the Sleepless King and Lady Farasha than what meets the eye?

Nemurenu Ou ni Sasagu Yogatari is a manga retelling of One Thousand and One Arabian Nights, so there is a cursed king who cannot sleep and a young woman who must tell him stories to get him to sleep.
It draws on fairy tale type elements, the supernatural and curses, were the two are bound together by a strange fate. It is set in the palace of a desert king who is known to be cruel. Reincarnation is a theme of this manga. It is also about redemption and breaking a curse to find read more

I'm searching randomly for manga to read when I stumbled upon this one.

Story: 9
Basically, there are stories within a story. In every chapters(except for chapter 4), there are different tales told by the heroine. They differ from each other and that's what makes each story unique in a sense. From the looks of it this manga is inspired by Arabian Nights. The heroine is telling stories based on her dreams to free his father from the King. The story is predictable. Expect the fast pace of the main story.

Art: 10
I like the art of the manga because it is somewhat clean and easy read more
