This manga introduces us to a world in which supernatural creatures not only exist, but they can be owned as pets! The story follows a small group of pets and owners, focusing mainly on a teenager named Yuuhei and his family, and their pet, Satan, a demon lord.

Each little arc is only a few pages long, and for the most part, self-contained, though later arcs do occasionally reference things that have happened before. The way the manga wraps up is incredibly clever, and makes you think about all the little hints that were scattered through the chapters that would ultimately contribute to the climax.

For the ... most part, the manga is very lighthearted, focused almost entirely on funny and/or heartwarming moments between pets and owners. The supporting cast isn't terribly developed, but we get enough time with them to understand their personalities and get attached to them. As a short manga, there aren't a lot of characters, so you don't get overwhelmed trying to remember who is who, and which pet is whose.

The world itself also isn't really explored; we don't know where the pets come from, how they came to be pets, etc. There are lots of questions regarding the worldbuilding aspect, but the story is satisfying enough that you don't feel cheated by missing out on the details of their universe.

The art is rather simplistic, never really going overboard with character designs or backgrounds. But this isn't the type of manga that really needs that. It tells a good story without looking too cluttered, and the expressions of the characters are often hilarious and adorable.

The only downside of this manga is that it IS so short. At 39 chapters, it tells a full story, but I could have continued to read about these characters for hundreds of chapters without getting bored.

This isn't your typical demon manga! Our story starts off with Yuuhei, a boy with a troubled past, giving his shy and sweet-adoring demon king pet for a walk, oh did i forget to mention this pet is literally Satan?
The story contains cute and interesting characters that keep you hooked until the end, mix in some great art and some goofy situations, and you have a great afternoon read.
The one problem with this manga however is that there is very little actual story for the first 25 or so chapters, so if your looking for constant action and brutal fighting straight from the beginning, ... i'd stick with blood lad.

After reading this I desperately wanted to have my own pet Satan. How difficult that is to explain to my devout Catholic mother.

In any case, this, my friends, is a gag manga. They're be some unexpected things that honestly made me laugh my boot out loud. You can say my expectations weren't high at first, but I was intrigued by how messed up the plot was. Which explains why I didn't give it a perfect ten.

There are still some holes. For example-- they never do explain why they have supernatural pets. It's just some normal phenomenon. The author seemed to be more intrigued ... with the relationship between pet and owner, which is to be honest a worthy plot on it's own. I adored it greatly.

The art itself was high quality. Nothing to scream about, but it's expected quality. You know whose physically attractive and whose not. I think I have to give props to the maganka for drawing a skeleton in so many panels. God knows how difficult that is to draw every single rib. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at Satan and Mizuchi.

As for characters-- There was surprisingly no one hateable. I love them all. Unfortunately, I don't want to spoil anything, so you'll have to make do with me being vague and all. Yuuhei, owner of Satan, is relatable. He treats Satan like a brother, rather than a pet, and supports him no matter what. He unfortunately got into an accident that stopped him from playing baseball. Satan is an adorable cinnamon bun whose too good for this world (ironically.) We also have the remaining family, which also surprise, surprise! Isn't tragic at all! The mother is sweet, the sister is a cunning mastermind, and the father is best left unsaid.
We also have the four remaining divas, however, it seems not all of them were revealed. But let it be known that they hold a dear place in my heart. They all have their quirks that make them really memorable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the very wrong romance. (not what you think.)

Actually I just enjoyed pretty much everything. I've always been more of a satire-comedy kind of person, saw this kind of raw comedy is refreshing to me. The readability of this short manga is pretty high. It's adorable as hell.

Overall, I gave this work of art a 9.5.

In this world monsters and fantasy tropes are pets... even human/humanoid ones like a paladin or legendary hero.

They are treated like pets from being on a leash for walkies to getting their shots in a pet hospital. The weird part is that their appearance doesn't change. A human hero looks like a gorgeous guy (or girl) in armour and walks around with Excalibur. A zombie is an undead that wants to eat you. Demons use magic circles...etc

And this fantastic is treated with the mundanity of taking your dog to the park!

The manga follows a Demon King type pet, A maou if you will, in ... their everyday life. It's very sweet and wholesome without shying away from big subjects. One of the characters is LGBTQ, another is a drunk divorcee classified as "scum and human trash". Both are treated in interesting ways with the kids gloves off.

There is an over arching plot for the whole thing with the author leaving little hints and clues for you to find along the way which just added to how good this was.

Overall this one is unique, wholesome and well written. The artwork is pretty good which surprised me considering the cover. You need to get over the initial (what the hell is this?!) of the first few chapters because this is different but once you do you're in for some unexpected cuteness and wholesomeness.
