Humanity's peaceful days all at once transform into an unspeakably odious hell. The sudden invasion of wasp-like insects, along with gargantuan "dolls" wielding their enormous alien weapons, annihilating everyone in their path. In the middle of the chaos, high school first-year, Iruma Ikaruga, fights to save his best friend and his beloved senpai from the dolls' assault with an unyielding spirit. However, all that awaits him is despair. Just what are the enormous puppets known as "Dolly"after? What fate awaits Iruma? The curtain has risen on humanity's "puppet show" of unimaginable despair, and the battle for survival has begun.
Dolly Kill Kill: the earth is invaded by the strange monsters that are later dubbed "Dollies", and billions of people die, including the friends of the main character. After this, we get to see the desperate struggle of the humans vs the monsters, and it's portrayed in a way that's very similar to Attack on Titan: while a portion of the people really want to kill all the Dollies, there are others who have given up hope and wish to see coexistence with these monsters.
So far, the story is still pretty standard - not to call it a tad generic: the MC undergoes some kind
of tragedy - finds a goal in his life (destroy the source of said tragedy) - joins the resistance - gets to fight the monsters. If you've read any kind of "humans vs monsters" story - prominent examples being Attack on Titan and Seraph of the End - then this will all sound very familiar. This familiarity might work out if you're looking for more of the same as the aforementioned series, or if you're new to these kind of stories and it's all still fresh. If none of those 2 goes for you, you might find it a bit boring because of that: DKK doesn't really do anything new, and I don't think it ever really will. Memorability isn't really a factor here either
As for me: I wasn't really bored by it, especially not at the start of the story. Do note, however, that this is a manga best read in batches: it's a weekly series on mangabox, and only 8-10 pages come out every week. Although there isn't really any wasted space, making the pacing okay-ish, it gets a bit tedious to read it weekly.
On a positive note, the manga is quite good at creating a feeling of "suspense", the monsters are scary, and nothing particularly dumb has happened yet either.
The artwork is quite good: the dollies look scary, the fights look good, and there are very few panels that don't look good.
Overall: Recommended for fans of post-apocalyptic, horror and action stories, but nothing memorable - you can give it a try, but you won't miss anything big by not reading it...
Dolly Kill Kill, i knew that something with that name had to be good and i was right, this manga has it all, good story with huge potential, cool characters, great amount of violence and gore and all done/draw very well.
Both Story and Art authors, this is their first Manga and it's a really good one, so moving on:
The story is an apocalypse kind of theme with a flair of creepiness known as Dollies that style of Aliens or Monster that invade Earth wiping almost all humans but some survive and now it's on them to take back Earth and win the war
against the enemy.
The downside of this manga are the quantity of pages on each chapter. The count of pages starts somewhere in the twenties but after the first like 40 chapters begins to become below the twenties.
So if your into scary story's , full of action, gore and with hidden secrets this is a great choice.
A great style of art to say the least. I personally find it very suitable to the story and not only is it not blurry at all but the fighting scenes are also very clear . The characters also have a nice style to them as they are simple drawn and yet charming at the same time. The gore and body parts have improved since the manga first started and action got better and better, plus amazing face expressions.
I love it, the action, gore, the drama and despair of some characters everything is very well done , i have never follow a manga from the start but i'm very glad i did on this one and i will keep doing it if the creators make more works.
So I read the first volume because a friend gave it to me in school and oh man where do i start with this.
The art was okay tbh,it wasnt great and it wasnt really bad.
The story kinda tried to make a different post-apocalyptic manga.I didnt like it at all.Its just not a good story and i cant take it seriously, this is a comedy manga for me. (also the fuck barriers is this evangelion or what)
Oh boy okay the characters...well first off the main character if the biggest bitch ever,I dont remember when a character has irritated me so much, there is nothing good to say about
him.None of the characters stand out they are just plain edgy teen lords.
As i said i didnt enjoy this manga,I finished it at school just so I can give it back as soon as possible, thats how much i hated this. But hey if you like a story that is trying too hard to be serious and is filled with edgy charas and scenes then go ahead.

Well, this is one of the worst mangas i've read
First of all,the story is toó cliché, Your typical post-apocalyptic story that comes out of nowhere,I can pass on to history what does not come from anywhere, if in the end explains,But that does not remove its cliché, in addition, the manga has your typical company that wants to save the world (More cliché, of course).
I forgot to mention that it is a plagiarism of Mahou Shoujo of the End.
My god, it's one of the worst sections of the manga by far,
goes from being a whimper to a crazy badass in a few chapters (Damn, he's too edgy), Appears a hikikomori athlete who knows martial arts (In addition to being contradictory, for self-insertion of the viewer), not to mention the girl who knows CASUALLY the band that wants to save the world.
It's not horrible, but it does not have anything remarkable either,In the average of your typical action, Perhaps the most remarkable is the abuse of dark colors, Because of course, it is an "adult manga"
Three words:cliche, pretentious, boring, All this to define this garbage.
One of the worst mangas I've read and a complete waste of time, should not read it.
