Under the threat of being disowned, Mafuyu Kurosaki—an ex-delinquent with a strong sense of justice, exceptional fighting skills, and a very dense head—has to start a new life as a proper citizen and student at Midorigaoka Academy. Apart from adapting to a new school, Mafuyu also has to get used to living alone as the dorms are full. Therefore, she starts a new chapter in her life with limited funds, the inability to make even a cup of instant noodles, and a big dream of becoming "an ultra-shiny female high school student."

This dream, however, is quite hard to fulfill since Mafuyu's sense of style is uncouth, and troubles tend to find her no matter how hard she tries to avoid them. The path to her dreams is made more difficult because of Takaomi Saeki, her unordinary homeroom teacher with barely legal teaching methods, and her delinquent classmate Kaori Hayasaka, who becomes her first new friend.

Oresama Teacher follows Mafuyu's adventure full of hilarious situations, ridiculous misunderstandings, and exciting action sequences, all while she still tries to become a normal feminine girl.

Oresama Teacher to me is that one manga that you just keep checking in on and following on and off over the years until it's finished, and now that the manga has finally ended I'm glad to say that it was worth all the waiting.

Every character is loveable in their own way, everyone is absolutely ridiculous, and the plot is bonkers. I have never laughed so hard at any manga.

Like the synopsis says, Mafuyu gets sent to a really crappy high school up in the mountains because she got expelled from her old high school, and no other school will let her enroll. read more

Oresama Teacher is one of the most unshoujo shoujos out there which is not a bad thing. If you are looking for romance story or the typical shoujo stuff, this is not for you. Oresama Teacher does have romance and implications of it but it's not the focus. It's more on comedy and the power of nakama/ friendship.

Even as a unshoujo, I still adore Oresama Teacher. The cast is endearing and the humor's completely over the top. As someone who absolutely hates misunderstanding arcs, the misunderstanding arcs in Oresama are not obnoxious at all. It's pretty funny and well written. You can't quite get to read more

Let me just say this about Oresama Teacher - don't read it if you're in a library. Don't read it at one am when you're supposed to be in bed. Don't read it in the computer lab during class.

No. If you're going to read Oresama Teacher, do it somewhere secluded where you can laugh your ass off like an idiot without getting in trouble.

Although the plot can sometimes feel just a wee bit confused and you sometimes want to hit yourself at how dense the characters (really just one) can be, this is definitely not a manga you want to miss reading. read more

Is this really the typical shoujo manga where a spineless heroine is being courted by 7 delinquents? NO.

This is a hilarious shoujo manga that often mistakes itself for a shounen with all the fighting bosses and such. When I read the first chapter I was like 'Meh. Good, but I feel like I've read this before'. I warn you: Do not be fooled.

Since then, I have been laughing my head off and the strange situations the lead girl gets herself into. The art is quite good, complementing the story well. The character interactions are all very amusing too, and do serve somewhat to develop character.
