Both works feature protagonists that want to become hereos, and instead become magical "girls". In Ore to Hero, the MC actually becomes a girl, while in Bokura wa Mahou Shoujo he is basically forced to cross-dress (both only happen when the guys transform). However, they still continue to help people in need as magical girls/boys.

Other than the similar premise of a man who have to endure turning into a cute little girl, the main reason why I think anyone who likes one will definitely like the other as well is the comedy style. Basically these 2 have more or less the same comedic sense and focus, the laughs came from the situations these guys somehow find themselves in as a consequence of their new appearance. The side characters spiced up the comedy in pretty much the exact same way, by creating misunderstandings and awkward moments to laugh at. Also both have some decent action scenes.

Hilarious Mahou Shoujo parodies involving putting Gender Bending in the formula. Ore to Hero to Mahou Shoujo, the GB transformation is Male to cute little Female. In Mahou Shoujo Ore Ore is Female(s) to muscular Male(s) -and is kinda yao-ish at times, but not A LOT.
