Synopsis

The year is 1274, and the Mongols are invading Japan! It's Kublai Khan, aiming to conquer the world. But Japan has a secret weapon in a crack team of killers, known as The Carrion Eaters. Led by the vicious Ranomaru, who wants to take Kublai's head. Not all is well in Kublai's camp, though... a Korean leader might well be dissatisfied with what Kublai plans. This conflict will take them to the ends of the earth.

Mixed Feelings

The story is rather enjoyable, the conflict between the two nations depicted within the story is complex but relatively easy to understand. The Characters are especially enjoyable and it reminded me why I enjoy Ishikawa's works.

His characters are the standard affair but that's not a bad thing I'll never not like an Ishikawa protagonist no matter how brutal they may be. My main issue with this story is that it ends abruptly. Literally right as the final battle is about to begin it just stops so keep that in mind and if you like Ishikawa's works you'll really enjoy it but I don't think that ...
