The story revolves around Tsunashi, the child of royalty who was left behind in the lost kingdom of Karan. He is expected by those around him to awaken his great powers that sleep within him in order to revive the kingdom—but rather than fighting, Tsunashi enjoys playing in the world of books. However, he must become serious soon, as a new army is threatening to invade Karan.
The beginning of the manga is pretty damn good. The first few chapters were great, and entertaining, with lots of potential...
Keep reading it and then you'll see it degrading slowly into a terrible, laughable, inexcusable mess.
The character development of the main character went from "oh, that's believable, hopefully he can learn along the way" into a "I'm an edge-lord, come, I gain magic powers that have no rules it just happens when I need it".
Then we get into this arc where this bitc--I mean magic woman has like, 10 chapters about her PMSing and having bipolar disorder at the same time.
Then they throw
in another bi-I mean woman, and she also happens to have psychological issues, too. They are cat fighting for like 20 more chapters.
The PMS magic woman loves the main character over very small to no development at all whatsoever. I felt 0 chemistry, so it just made me laugh a lot, HAHAHA!
The manga went from action adventure revenge story into, drama. I like drama, but the drama was so out of place and just done poorly, it made me laugh even more. They disregarded the main story for the 2 PMSing bit-females instead.
The ending was so abrupt, like you could not notice it was happening until some magical bullshit happens in the next chapter.. Like WHAT? okay. Yup, this one chapter magically just turned the whole overbearing overworld plot into submission.
I could tell the author was getting lazy and just trying to get each chapter out so he could get a tiny bit of $$$. How could I tell? Well, the author tends to draw many, Many, MANY one page panels.... They aren't even saying anything either, mostly it's just a one page panel of a character just staring at someone, but then he cuts to the next panel and it's another one page panel of the enemy staring.
There was one chapter where he stares at his hand for at least 6 pages, not even saying a word. You can also tell he was rushing by that ending too.
Now you are probably asking me, why did you give this a 2 and still managed to finish it? and even write a review about it? Well, i'll tell you.
It's one of those, soooo bad it's entertaining stories. I wasn't bored, I was just at awe at how terrible a manga could possibly be! If you are in for some laughs and WTFs then this manga does it well.
Do I regret reading it? Nah. Does it deserve a 2? Yeah... I gave it a pass by not giving it a 1.
and here I was looking forward to reading a completed Action and Seinen manga, but nope, what I got was Shoujo, Fantasy and Romance.
TBH everything started out great, it even made me cry, especially when I thought one of the Character died for real...
but after a few chapters it all went downhill, I told myself to keep reading because it might change but nope, my bad. It became worst.
I don't know what happened to the Mangaka, what was supposed to be all action/seinen, fighting evil empire, being the best hero turned into a shoujo romance with most characters having spilt personalities, being all sweet
and innocent to psychotic mad-person.
I even feel bad giving it a 3. Pity. Probably the only redeeming quality about this manga was the start of the story and it's art.
