This Manga was a little hard to judge as the two stories in this oneshot differ greatly in quality.
The first 3 chapters deal with the pairing featured on the cover (nerdy megane guy + bishounen). While the good-looking guy is already in love with his nerdy childhood friend, the other still has to realize his feelings while sinking into self-pity that no girl likes him.
We barely get to know anything about these two characters (bishonen is a typical quiet, cool guy and nerd boy likes shojo manga because of his sisters. Thats basically all the information we get ) and their relationship goes from childhood
...
friends to lovers in the blink of an eye.
Some other good-looking boys start showing up to create the chliche jealousy tropes, but overall not a whole lot happens. The uke is whiny and the seme is able to resolve every situation in a flash.
Now the other 3 chapters (now dealing with a completely different couple) show a bit more depth in character and story. The dynamic is similar (with the seme already being interested in the uke from the beginning) but the development doesn't feel as rushed and forced.
While normally an uke would have a tragic past or conflict, this story completely turns it around with the seme having trouble at home and the uke offering comfort. I feel like this story had much more promise and could have been great if it hadn't been only 3 chapters.
Overall the manga is on the fluffy and cliché side of BL with only one short sex scene.
