Two spectacular series which involves romance between a human and a being from another dimension (demon or a magical prince), and they both are not of the same age. Both plots deals with nobility and king and have Gothic favored art. There are time when one of the character become temporary older. You'll find many scenes where the two lovers get lovey-dovey.

The 2 most popular works by Matsuri Hino. Both shoujo manga which have pretty art, romance, fantasy/magic/supernatural, a pair of hot siblings/twins, and the average female lead. MeruPuri is more light-hearted and lovey-dovey than VK, and the latter has drama, violence, and a wider cast of characters, but if you liked one, you'll probably enjoy the other as well.
reportRecommended by RenaPsychoKiller
Both feature an aristocratic young man and his loyal manservant among the main cast. Godchild typically avoids the romantic angle but provides Merryweather as the plucky girl character, roughly equivalent to MeruPuri's Airi.

Add blood, a bit of violence, gothic artwork and dark characters to Merupuri, switch wizards to fairies and you´ll have Fairy Cube. - Both have a main teenage guy that ends up stuck in a child´s body. - Both have a main girl that ends up falling in love with the main guy and tries to protect him but ends up being abducted. - The main guy has a brother that is his rival and at first sight, his "enemy". - Both have an older guy with a little fairy that loves him and follows him everywhere because he saved her when she was younger.  read more

Especially the age-difference about the main characters and "Kingdom" things. Main guy is older this time, again a prince and other girl is 10 years old princess. Just the opposite of Merupuri you can say.

they both have a girl who bumps into a tiny child, and then letting the kid stay with her in her house. when the boy stays with the girl, well, they share a bath. they also both have a guy who becomes older. and of course they both have romance

Younger Boy X Older Girl Other worlds are involved and they have "magical" powers called "Esp". It's a great story, it made me cry a little! but it was worth it :D
reportRecommended by Madi100x
They are both shoujo and the mangas have a prince in them that turns into an adult from being a child at special occasions.
reportRecommended by Shinyflex
the story is almost the same. but in merupuri, the guy turned to big size, in order for him to go back to his normal form, he has to receive a kiss from the person he likes... though, i still prefer merupuri <3
reportRecommended by Orlaithe
Both have: - Younger male x older female - The young boy is a prince and wants to marry the heroine - The female is energetic and although she has noble ancestry she is currently poor/a commoner.
reportRecommended by Orulyon
Both feature a cursed main boy who has noble/royal blood and transforms into a younger/older version of him. Lovely artwork.

Relationship between an older girl and a younger boy. Both are really cute

These two share a lot of similarities: both main girls are energetic, dreamy girls which their goal is to marry. In both there´s a love triangle between the main girl and two half brothers that are princes. Also, the main girl is the only descendant from a noble family that committed treason to the royal family, and so, were banished and killed. Also, the main girl has a box from her ancestor and ends up working some time as a maid for one of the princes. Many comedy and romance.

Sweet girls fall in love with an otherworldly person who can take the form of a child or a man, causing plenty of confused, but cute, romantic moments. Kissing also serves as an awkward (but still cute?) transfer of power.

In both manga's the love interest switches in age for varying reasons.
reportRecommended by shancat
Both male protagonists can transform into a different age. Aram can turn from a kid to a teenager while Maou turns from an adult to a kid.
reportRecommended by BlasianAngel
Both girls love a younger guy and both guys turn older at night. Very similar~ both cute.
reportRecommended by Miako
Matantei Loki is a shounen while Merupuri is a shoujo, they have totally different plots but there are some similarities like the main guys were both cursed. In Merupuri, Aram was cursed to transform in an adult, while Loki was cursed to transform in a child. In both mangas, the main girls are teenage girls who have romantic feelings for the main guys.

They are both about a younger guy and an older girl and how they have problems in their relationship. In both of them the girl already has someone she loves and them the younger boy shows up. In Kimi wa Boku no Mono the boy is 12, but in MeruPuri: Marchen Prince he is even younger then that.
reportRecommended by rm-taylen
They are both about a older girl who falls in love with a younger boy and doesn't really know how to handle it, or even emit that shes in love. In chocolate to mint the boy is only one year younger then the girl, but in MeruPuri: Märchen Prince hes younger than that.

Both female protagonist fall in love with a younger boy and overcome obstacles to be together.

Both series feature a romance between an ordinary high school girl and a boy who's from a completely different world (socially in HYD, literally in MeruPuri). They also both feature memory loss plotlines that have strong similarities.
reportRecommended by lithiumflower
Both stories have young boys as leads who can change their age, who love the main female charcters.

The plots are different, but in both, magical things happen to ordinary girls who end up getting transported to other kingdoms. Add royalty, romance, some deception and you get these two super-great stories. Read them both!!!!

The stories are very different, but both are about royalty and what's it like to love one, though MeruPuri is much lighter and Goong has a lot more drama involved

Both have shotacon in. More so in MeruPuri then Negima but still there there is also magic in both of them

These works are similar in their story line. Both stories have somewhat similar characters: a tomboyish girl, a prince with a secret and a mischievous brother. In "Tokage Ouji", Sienna keeps shifting between his lizard-self and his prince-self whereas in "MeruPuri", Aram constantly shifts between his child-self and his adult-self. In both stories, the main Prince has a brother, who is more troublesome than most & a lovely princess to love. Both mangas have a good plot & are in the magical/shojo genre. I recommend both for all fairytale lovers.

Although not the same story, but it'll remind you of Dear Mine. *A younger boy & a older girl fall in love with each other* They are the perfect stories to read.

MeruPuri is a lot better compared to Yoru Mad Matenai, but they have similar concept of the younger [brother-like] boy falling in love with the supposed-older sister. it's somewhat taboo, but it isn't because neither of their relationships are actually blood-related. Meru Puri has magical themes embedded into the story, whereas Yoru Made Matenai is just a story about love and has some sexual scenes. however, i have to say that both of the male characters are super cute!

The plots are different, but here are two really great fantasy romances. Both are great, have a similar feel and are light, funny and entertaining, though Love Monster is definitely more ecchi.
reportRecommended by as3
The plots are different, but the stories have a similar feel to them - normal people + rich and powerful, light humour and sweetness ...
reportRecommended by as3
Both are romance series about an average high school girl who lives by herself and has her life turned upside down when a highly unusual young man has to share her residence. In Zettai Kareshi he's a robot, in MeruPuri a magical prince.
reportRecommended by lithiumflower
Although HSD doesn't have MeruPuri's all-over fantasy element, both series are about a girl who has her heart set on falling in love but ends up falling for the least likely candidate. (Hijinks, cuteness, and occasional mild drama ensues.)
reportRecommended by lithiumflower
Both of these titles have a very similar feel, and not just in their art. Both deal with magic and wizardry, and spoiled people of royal blood. If you enjoyed either of them you would like both.
reportRecommended by Aarana
MP is much sweeter, while PC is much more humorous/vindictive, but both have royalty and romance
reportRecommended by as3
A love story involving a prince from a world different from our own
reportRecommended by as3
Time travel and royalty and romance and some mystery - both stories have it
reportRecommended by as3
A prince from a magical kingdom falls in love with a girl, stories are different but good in their own ways
reportRecommended by as3
Both series are magical romances featuring an ordinary schoolgirl and a character from another world as the central characters. Ultra Maniac has the otherworldly character as a girl and best friend and brings in supporting characters for the romance, while MeruPuri combines the two by having the otherworldly character as the romantic interest.
