Synopsis

Shunned by his brother Ginga, Neo-Tokyo troublemaker Daichi finds solace in collecting rare "Mystickers"—miraculous stickers capable of generating unlimited energy. Only after a deadly encounter does Daichi learn the truth behind his brother’s cold and distant attitude: Ginga was sheltering him from Qilin Realm, a malicious organization that seeks Daichi to bring a disturbing plan into action. Ginga sacrifices himself to protect his brother and is kidnapped by the organization, leaving Daichi lost and helpless.

Fortunately, the Guardians—Ginga's allies in opposing Qilin Realm—come to his aid. Now recruited into their ranks, Daichi finds himself thrust into their violent world. Soon, he realizes that he can harness the Mystickers' powers into his own body, for he is one of a select few known as "Blazers." Spurred on by his brother’s selflessness and the discovery of his abilities, Daichi sets out with the Guardians to rescue his brother and prevent Qilin Realm from realizing their goal.

Background

Blazer Drive inspired a Nintendo DS game of the same name which was released in Japan on December 4, 2008. An official guidebook of the series was also released on the same date. The game stars Shirou and Tamaki as the main characters and tells a story that runs parallel to that of the manga. Events from both the game and manga occasionally coincide with, reference or influence one another, therefore to experience the full story of Blazer Drive, both the manga and game should be completed.

This is a very interesting manga, that is well worth the read a couple of hours should do it maybe 2 days of sporadic reading. It takes place in the future where mysticker(stickers) replace fuel and other pollution/harmful things like deforestation(fire mysticker), electrical dams(electric mystickers) etc. I love the 5 ultimate mystickers which are like the five best of certain types(Ice, Fire, Light, Shadow, Electricity), there are also some good guy/rivalry fights.

But after one of the main bad guys is "injured" it seems a bit rushed and i was left wondering how is this going to be finish with under 10 chapters left. The final ...

Preliminary (17/35 eps)
Blazer Drive is a great manga sure it has some similarities to naruto but it is its own manga many mangakas they sometimes reuse the storyline or characters from their previous manga and have a different twist to it for example in Zombie powder the main character Gumma was remade in Bleach as Grimmjow. Blazer Drive is also a game on the Nintendo Ds and the game Rocks.

It’s always nice too see how artists grow and improve through their multiple series. Be it with better writing, characters, storylines or different turns in genre, that feeling of progression is a delight that goes beyond just the work at hand. However, the opposite is possible and regression can often be disappointing, which speaks true of Seishi Kishimoto’s Blazer Drive. Coming off from the flawed yet somewhat fun 666 Satan, you’d expect one to learn and build on their shortcomings. Sadly, this does not happen with Blazer Drive, a shallow series that forsakes exploration for flashy battles, development for cool poses and evokes the well-worn ...
