Female MC's are similar to each other since they're both headstrong.

These are not very similar, however they have similarities. - In both the female is a ruler - In both the male lead is a commoner - Both are aiming for romance. In Risou no Himo Seikatsu it's an isekai with court setting with MC taken in as a consort, where some of the focus is their romantic relationship. In Palace Meidi it's historical also with court setting with MC as a servant.

- Both took place in a rich, historical backdrop and their respective timeframes are not that far from each other. As Emma was set around the 20th century and the latter took place in the Meiji era, albeit a fictional one. - Both share the theme where differences in social status/class become the main obstacle in progressing their relationships.

The male protagonist doesn't feel worthy or believe that the female lead likes him. They are both set in or near the Taishou era. There is a similar mix of comedy and serious situations, and they art styles of both are a little different than usual.
