These two are incredibly similar in nature, the overall feeling is a reflection of both manga. The main character is the same, the scenario is basically the same, even the art is similar.

The plots are different. Number has elements of fantasy/supernatural, where TS is more about high school students playing mind-games, however, I feel that the themes, art and scenes are similar. Both have dark undertones within the plot; suffering with one's self and facing their fears. Another similarity is the art; amazing clean lines, crisp shading, attractive character designs and panel layouts. They also have similar genres, that being "Psychological" and "bromance" (or shounen-ai), which stand out the most. I get the same "feeling" whilst reading both and instantly thought of Number after reading TS.

Okay...this is going to sound weird, but I'm recommending Skip Beat!for those who like Number. This is mostly due to character similarities. Both main characters, Toneriko and Kyoko (for Number and Skip Beat! respectively) went into the business in order to get revenge. Their enemies, Tekirai and Shotarou, didn't care about them until later chapters, in which they showed an interest towards them. Both characters received help in order to get into the business, from Ageha and Sawara-san respectively. And the main characters both found their first and best friends while wroking in the business. (Mizuto and Kanae respectiuvely) Other than that, they're quite different. SB! is a lot lighter than  read more

Toneriko is to Ciel as Tekirai is to Sebastian; in both stories the main boys family was killed and he is seeking revenge. also both have hints of bl, great art, and a grasping story line- if you liked one you'll like the other

Both of these are about a young main character who (to his annoyance and everyone else’s pleasure) is surrounded by creepily unemotional, clingy men. Very campy, really, and for people who enjoy suggestiveness every couple of pages. Both series have a lot of fight scenes, special abilities, and a sort of “secret“ organization.

Assassins, part of an organisation called Number(s). The main character appears to have a vendetta against a current / ex-colleague. Each assassin within the organisation appears to have their own specific skills and abilities. The main characters also appear to use guns as their main arsenal. Plots are different from the start, but these similar elements may lead one to like one and the other.
