Aoharu X Machinegun
Volume 1

High school student council president Hotaru Tachibana—a girl often confused as a boy due to her speech pattern and clothing—is not afraid to fight against injustice. When her friend is supposedly swindled by a host, Hotaru feels compelled to confront the man responsible. He turns out to be her next-door-neighbor, Masamune Matsuoka, who decides that the best way to settle this is to play a "survival game": an imaginary war game where fake guns are used, but the battles are no less real.

Despite Hotaru's best efforts, she ends up losing and incurring a large debt due to the resulting damages. Consequently, she is forced to become the third member of Masamune's male-only team "Toy ☆ Gun Gun," joining his friend, Tooru Yukimura, an author of adult manga who dislikes her at first. However, before she even notices it, Hotaru becomes genuinely fond of both the sport and her team members. She chooses to share in their dream of becoming the best survival game team in Japan and winning the famous tournament, Top Combat Game, even if that means hiding her identity as a girl from her teammates.

I started this manga in 2017 probably first manga i had read, was sooo good and interesting. Like character, comedy, guns art and backstory at latest chapters i notice the art was weird not like first chapters i don't know if mangaka want just finish his work or the artist changed (if somebody know please tell me). i recommand this manga if someone want light good story and easy read.

I've seen a pretty mixed bag with reviews of this show, and I thought I'd give it my two cents as well.

Story 8/10- It initially drew me in because of the whole Ouran-esque premise of read more

The reason I read this was because I was into those reverse-trap anime girl trends and the female lead was a funny character to start off.

Story: 8. I personally liked the story, it's like Tamaki Suoh from OHSHC was reincarnated but into an adult who likes toy, gun tournament plays. Equipped with a nut-head Hotaru who because of her way of addressing herself (mentioning herself in a third-person POV) makes things complicated. This series gave me the feeling of OHSHC vibes, except there were villains I honestly prefer.

Art: 10. I just like it. Period. Don't expect high of my not-so artistic eye.

Character: 9. Hotaru, read more

I love this manga and I think it deserves to be known.
Why is that?

Story: 9
This manga isn't meant to be serious. It's fun all the way and the story is catching, the author uses well the ends of chapters that makes you want to absolutely read the next chapter. We can see that the author masters the softgun knowledge, the guns models and all. Plus, since the main character is new to this kind of thing, the reader discovers it in the same time and the explanations are never too long or boring. And this story isn't all about the softgun, but also about read more

This manga was really fun to read, I like overall the story, the art style, everything. The plot was nice and does not only focus on the main character. The comedy scenes were great, also the fighting scenes, they got me really hyped up. This manga covers all my interest so far, and made me love the genres Action and Sports more. I also love NAOE's art style. All the characters have really interesting backgrounds and fighting styles. For me, I love the idea of guns and airsoft. This manga is totally awesome, so I recommend reading it, also, this has an anime so please read more
