A manga about a guy who has reached the apex of listlessness (Tanaka) and another tall guy (Oota) accompanying him on his, well, i was about to say adventures but no way that he's got enough energy for an adventure. Basically Oota just goes with whatever Tanaka does, which, lucky for Oota, isn't really all that much.
Since it is a review i'll talk about Story and all that.

Story: It's pretty much a slice of life manga, so basically it doesn't have a story, but a setting. A good setting though. I'll give it a 7 but it's not really possible to rate it.

It's kind of disappointing that there's currently only one review for this manga (ha, no it's not, it means that I'll be the one laughing in everyone's faces after it gets popular as an anime since I read it beforeee it was popular so SUCK IT) because I really do consider this manga worth all of the 10 stars I've just given it - it's hilarious, the characters are fun, the art is really pretty, etc. Keep in mind, though, that Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is just a gag manga and so it's full of nothing but light-hearted humour. It has no real plotline. It's read more

I love this manga.

There really is no story, it's just an episodic slice of life. Despite the fact that there is no goal for the entire series, it somehow keeps the reader interested at all times. There wasn't a chapter/arc that I didn't like.

The art is actually amazing. The artist for this series is great at pulling off visual gags that even transfer well into the anime (which hopefully will get a second season). I love chibi-tanaka's eyes as well as normal-tanaka's eyes. All of the other defined characters stand out as well.

-Also, not to get sidetracked, but the animators for the read more

When i first found this manga in a bookstore when i was in Japan, i thought it was probably a normal slice of life yon-koma, seeing how the main character looked so generic, but i still bought the first volume and enjoyed it greatly.

Story: 9
The manga has no real story, just typical events happening, but it works, because of the character acts in a way that no other manga or anime has reacted before, with extreme laziness and a "can't be bothered" attitude.

Art: 8
The art is well done, helping with the presentation of the plot, and it was actually much detailed than i thought it read more

Tanaka-kun is a manga that brings a smile to my face every time i read a character, because of the problems it usually show, they are not really a big deal and its about students living a day by day life which their only preoccupations are what i so about this thing or this other thing, nothing epic, nothing really serious going on like for example Sakuraso or things like that, just wholesome shit going on in almost every episode, to give an example of the amount of seriousness this has a character had a personality crisis because she couldn't be as lazy as Tanaka, read more
