In a time and place where one's soul can be morphed into a weapon, there are modern-day magicians called Mage-Knights. Although Kurogane Ikki is a student at an institution that trains Mage-Knights, he has no particular talent in magic and is labeled the "Failure Knight" or "Worst One." Getting way less than average marks in the scorings, he was forced to repeat a year. But with the arrival of a new head of the institution, a new rule was created: knights whose abilities are compatible, as decided by the board, must share rooms and attend practice and training together throughout their school years to bring up their abilities to the max. It is a rule to implement the absolute verdict of ability.

Ikki's roommate, Stella Vermillion, turns out to be a princess of another foreign country. Stella is a Rank A knight: the type of genius in magic who only appears once a decade. When Ikki walked in on her while she was changing her clothes, it caused a huge misunderstanding, which eventually ended up in a duel between the two of them. The punishment for the losing side is Eternal Submission to the winning side.

Forced to live the same room and practice magic together throughout all their school years, how will Stella and Ikki's relationship evolve?

This is only the second review ive ever written, so bear with me-
Story: 6. Honestly, this type of story is getting annoyingly common. VERY common. There's a battle school where people fight with their supernatural "powers"/a manifestation of their soul. The MC acts weak, but is actually stupidly strong, etc.

Characters: 8. Kurogane Ikki, the protagonist is your typical "people look down on me even though im stronger than them" character. Even after that's said, the delving into dealings with his family is more than enough to make up for it.
Stella is your typical princess heroine, but this time hates being labeled as a "prodigy".

Pretty good main characters, ok side characters, the sex scene was ok I guess I dont know I busted a nut to it regardless. Ikkis power is kind of bullshit, but whatever its cool. Sara is good nut material. Edelweiss is probably the best but this series is never going to be translated past volume 9 so its kind of pointless to read unless you want to sit around waiting years for every volume to be translated.
Overall there's some pretty good nut material here. Or hentai haven but if youre here like me for good nut material you probably already knew that one.

Now that an anime adaptation is currently airing, first three volumes which it will cover calls for a review! Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan is a slightly mediocre light novel that actually manages to be a more enjoyable read than most of the other similar LNs with a "Magical High School" setting that has been written more than enough.

Story starts when our newest contender of the plot device "I'm secretly very strong" character archetype Kurogane Ikki becomes roommates with the eccentric himedere heroine Stella Vermillion. The presented fictional world is a place where magic is a part of science, and they intertwine together. You know, when read more

Rakudai is an ongoing series I'll Focus on vol 1-12(Selection Battle arc, Seven Stars Sword Art Festival arc, part of the Vermillion Empire arc).

At its core, Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan is an excellent light novel series. Following the formula of a typical "teenagers in a battle high school", the series has much more to offer than what is initially seen. Past the ever-present fan service and......uh...."profound" pictures, where Rakudai really stands out( in my opinion) is in its characters of all things.

Take the main male lead, Ikki. Unlike that of the sterotypical, Ikki isn't unbeatable simply cause he's the mc, rather he trains(and continues to) read more

One of the major themes in Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is that the blazer system used to rank the students is heavily flawed. In this analysis, we’ll take a look at just what these flaws are, and how they can affect other aspiring blazers in the future.
