Mimitabu no Riyuu starts really good with the first chapter, and in my opinion it should have ended with it. Going through the second chapter of this manga is tolerable, but all the subsequent chapters seemed unnatural and unnecessary, and the characters became a grotesque representation of what they were in the chapter one. Chapters 2/5 are pretty much identical, except for that feeble attempt at changing the point of view in chapter 3, which delivered the finishing blow to Yamaguchi's credibility as a human being. I think the mangaka attempted to make seme seem less of a seme, and uke less than an read more

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS. I chose to include them because some events in the story might be harmful and/or triggering to some readers. TRIGGER WARNING.

This, just like the mangaka said, is a very typical yaoi. Don't expect anything more.

Storywise, well, it's a typical yaoi. Throw in an abusive "tsundere" jealous uke to "strengthen" their relationship, and a seme that first looks like he loves the uke but turns out to be obsessive and rapes the uke but everything is, of course, fine after that because yaoi.
