this is my favorite manga of all time! its like a better verion of saw but you dont know the "wolf". the plots great, the action and suspense is awesome. its soooo good i read the 15 chapters in one day. i was hooked on it

If you can navigate the characters and the motives you can kind of guess the plot. Although there are loop holes, with a little problem solving skills you can guess the plot. This was very well put together.

Story - I must say that I actually guessed the right wolf from the beginning although Doubt does do very well at throwing you off the scent. This just goes to show how you show stick to your original instincts. Although I found it fairly predictable, I loved each second that I spent reading it. To me, it seems very 'Saw'-esque but with less gruesome scenes but it was exceedingly clever with lots of immense twists and a fantastic ending!

Art - I loved how the rabbit masks were drawn - very creepy and fitted so well with the atmosphere of the story. The characters were ... well drawn and I found in the creepier parts that some of the characters reflected the kind of drawing that is done in Higurashi.

Character - Obviously, in a manga like this they don't concentrate on the characters but I found that Yuu-san was a very likeable character and you could easily relate to how he was acting and what he did. At times you definitely had to feel sorry for him. It was clever how some of the characters decieved and manipulated their way through the story too.

Enjoyment - I really enjoyed reading it and read it all in a day as I was so hooked. Cliffhanger at the end of every chapter and you just -have- to keep reading!

Overall - If you like horror and psychological manga this is definitely for you!

Doubt is a very generic survival horror manga. It involves a few characters who don't know each other very well, quickly jumping into cliches from horror movies.

It isn't very dramatic as most characters are killed off screen and with little evidence pointing to the real culprit. Therefore, since the characters aren't trying to solve the mistery like the reader likely would want, it doesn't seem to have a plot.

While it is also made to look like a guessing game (kind of like psychological horror), most of the actions don't contribute to this feeling. Certain panels are clearly trying to set up a character ... as the culprit while it is fairly obvious they can't be because of how cheesy it looks.

By the end of the manga, character descriptions for the main cast are explained, as many plot twists are told to the reader. Instead of it being discovered throughtout the story, everything is just said at the end. These plot twists are so ridiculous, the reader likely wrote them off as soon as they thought of them.

Predictably, the villain is a crazy person who is just messing with people because of a childhood trauma, through supernatural powers (which didn't exist until the very end).

In general, it is a very basic and uninvolved saw-like manga. For a better experience, simply the beggining of Danganronpa is able to achieve a much better version of this psychological horror guessing game.

Rabbit Doubt {“Doubt” for short} is a murder-mystery story telling of a mobile horror game becoming reality. Six young adults deal with their past mistakes while trying to survive and find the “wolf.”

A bit about the game Rabbit Doubt: players are rabbits, and one player is a wolf in disguise. The wolf goes around and kills the rabbits, the other players goal is to find out who the wolf is before it kills all of the rabbits. If the rabbits hang the wolf, the rabbits win. If all other rabbits are dead, the wolf wins.

Story: 9/10

The story of Doubt is short and sweet. The length ... was just long enough to get all points and plot twists across. The twists keep you guessing on who the wolf is, and that alone is enough to keep readers engrossed. The little things mentioned by the characters end up leading to something bigger, which I like. You have to pay attention and keep a tab of all the clues handed to you. I thought the ending was only slightly predicable. But I suppose everyone will come up with their own conclusions.

Art 9/10

The art for Doubt is good enough for an anime. The front cover of it almost looks exactly like an anime screenshot. The art gets a little mundane after a while, there are no beautiful-looking panels or pages, and I think the artist was fully capable of creating more than one. I was so enthralled with the story, and reading, that one of the panels had actually scared me and I jumped. The characters were very distinguishable, even when you were only looking at parts, though I wish there was a little more detail added to the landscape.

Characters: 7/10

The characters in Doubt were pretty stock characters; there was the outcast, the hot popular girl… But what really made the characters was their dirty little secrets that were revealed, and made you see the characters in a different light. They were all written well to their parts, too. The stock personality traits added to the mystery of the story by giving motives or lack thereof. The only gripe that I have about this is that there was no development in any of the characters. The characters at the end didn’t have any revelation, or change in their ways. But I suppose I’ll let this one slide, because any big change in the characters would have either skewed or unnecessarily elongated the story.

Overall: 8/10

The beginning is quite reminiscent of the Saw horror film series. And if you’re looking for something similar to that, then this manga is for you. Although the characters are a little cliché, the short, suspenseful manga is highly recommended by me. Even if you’re not hooked within the first few chapters, I say stick with it, because it only gets better. If you’re concerned about the gore level. There’s some, but it’s not so explicit that you can’t look at it. It’s classic, Japanese gore.

Before I start this review, there's a few things I want to say. Doubt was the first manga series I ended up owning the entire set of, but, owning the entire set of Doubt isn't a big deal, considering Doubt is only a manga with 4 volumes adding up to 20 chapters. Also, this is my first manga review. I've read a bit of manga, including the 36 Higurashi manga's, and a couple of others. Doubt was the first manga I finished in under a 48 hour time limit. (I know, I'm so good) but without anything else to say, let's get the review started.

Story: ... 6/10

The story follows a bunch of kids (literally, I think their age range is 16-20, so they're kinda kids) who meet up one day and kill each other. That's kinda it, but lemme do this properly. It's about one day where a bunch of teenagers meet up, get knocked out, wake up in some weird place and eventually kill each other.

Well, there's 2 sides of this. They were originally playing a game online called "Rabbit Doubt" where there was a wolf hidden, disguised in front of all the rabbits. If the wolf was discovered, GG, he loses. But if the wolf manages to eat all the rabbits, GG, he wins. So, that game comes to life. A wolf is hiding among all the rabbits that are attending this game, and the wolf will have to eat all the rabbits without getting found out (I think, lemme check... shit... close enough.) The story isn't the best, but it was okay for me to enjoy it. It was FAIR. A.k.a, 6.

Art: 7/10

Now, I love manga artists who have different ways of making manga and shit like that. Like... I don't know. I like any mangaka that makes good manga, so, yeah. If a mangaka makes good manga, take Naoki Urasawa for example, made Monster, 20th Century Boys, both two GREAT manga series, I haven't read 20th Century Boys, but heard great things about it. Since he made those two great manga series, I like him. He's awesome. So, I don't really care about the style of the manga, as long as it was good. This manga was okay, and the art style wasn't that bad, either.

Character: 8/10

Characters, weren't that bad, nor that good. There was the one character that stuck out the most for me, cuz' he was my favorite and that would have to be Hajime, he was just my favorite. Don't know why, he just was. Maybe it's cuz' he was smarter than everyone, and everyone else was quite dumb. Possible.

Overall: 7/10

I give this manga an overall rating of 7. Not complicated shit like 7.3 or 7.7 like AnimePlanet does, but just 7 cuz this is MAL. It was a good series, but it wasn't the best. It was the FIRST series I bought all of, because it was on a sale and it was quite cheap. That was like the most legendary deal on a manga set... EVER. Didn't regret a cent spent, cuz' it was a great deal and the manga was good.

At first glance the overall concept of this manga appealed to me and I was intrigued as to how the story would pan out. If you are a fan of the psychological genre you may be sorely disappointed by the end of it all.
Story (3/10) - A phone game where a group of bunnies have a wolf hiding among them and in order to survive they must guess who this is. An interesting premise, especially when it turns into the real life version.
The story started off well in the sense that it kept me curious as to what would happen next. Not much is ... determined at the beginning of the plot but it did enough to get the reader hooked. As the story progresses more people die and you are constantly changing opinion on who you think the killer is. As for the killings, even though a reason is somewhat revealed as to why, it still seems to be pointless in the end. The plot does drag at times with fillers that need not be included and what let this manga down was the ending of it all. When all was revealed I was left confused and disappointed with what seemed like an illogical conclusion. The overall story was interesting but the ending fell short of what had a lot of potential to be great. It did not satisfy me in the least especially because I feel there were no clues or twists leading up to the conclusion.
Art (5/10) - I have to say, after being recommended this manga I thought the art style would be of a higher caliber then it was. Not that it was bad but it just wasn't a stand out in my opinion and wasn't as disturbing and bloody as I hoped it would be. Some parts of the story were lost at times because of how dark the art was. I had to go back to try and figure out what had just happened. The surroundings drew me in more than the character designs themselves and the detail in the bunny heads deserve an applause if anything else.
Character (3/10) - None of the characters really stood out to me and I wasn't invested enough to care if they lived or died. The characters also didn't really seem to care when the people around them were killed off one by one. No back story was really given for any of the characters so not much is known as to who these people really are. I can't say any of them left a lasting impression nor can I say that I felt connected to any particular person.
Enjoyment (4/10) - I really did enjoy this anime right the way through until the ending where it left me disappointed. The hopes that a major twist or revelation would knit the whole thing together was what kept me reading page after page. I thought maybe towards the end I would realise I missed major clues or hints that would make the whole thing tie together but there wasn't.
I would say if you want a manga that will mess with your mind you can read this... but it won't mess with you in a good way.

A group of young people that play the same online game must face it in the real life. Rabbit doubt, the game, consists on a group of rabbits that have a killer among them, the wolf. Rabbits win if they catch the murderer, if not they get killed and lose.

That's the plot of this manga. The story it's a bit por because it only has this idea. It's also told a little piece of background for the main characters but not enough to make a good development of them. Although I should have expected it, since it's a short work.

The drawing work was the ... best charateristic of this manga. Nice scenes, good action and scary places. Sure it was a good job.

I really enjoyed this story. Although it wasn't a masterpiece and it didn't last long, it was such a good story to spend my time on.

I hope the sequel keeps the good points of this work and then improve some things, for instance some scenes were confusing as they didn't have enough panels.

Pros:
-Moves at a nice clip, is over before you know it and doesn’t try to overstay it’s welcome
... -Gives enough of a cliffhanger to make you curious about the next installment

Cons:
-A copy and paste of every slasher film, television show, game or book that has ever been made
-Predictable from start to finish, almost laughably so
-Characters are all drenched in cliché in a way that unfortunately missed an opportunity to poke fun of, in fact, had this manga been a farce, it would have played much better than it did taking itself seriously

What did you give Doubt?

It's my first review so deal with me please~

Doubt was a manga that I didn't want to read. People with bunny-heads on the cover and some blood.. I didn't know what to think about it. But then I exchanged some manga with my friend and she gave me Doubt so I started reading it... AND COULDN'T STOP.

Story is about pack of friends playing phone-game called "Doubt". In this game you play as a cute little bunny but this game isn't cute at all. One of the bunnies is a wolf in disguise trying to eat them all but of course bunnies don't know which ... one is a bad guy. They all try to kill (by hanging) bunny that lies and is a wolf. If they hang right one - they win but if they hang wrong ones to the end - wolf wins.
This pack of friends meet one day in real life - main character Yuu that always lose in this game, his best friend Mitsuki that was in this meeting only by coincidence, badass guy Einji, beautiful girl Haruka and cute Rei on the wheelchair. Only Hajime didn't came. The all wake up in strange building and game starts in real life but.. who is the wolf?

Story 6/10
Why only 6? Because I knew who is the wolf from the start. I knew it and thought that they will give me some hints or something that will lead to this ending but.. no. They didn't. Overall I think the story wasn't that bad, I enjoyed it really much but i was expecting some more "doubt".

Art 7/10
7 because it's not "special", I saw better character designs and stuff but at the same time backgrounds were really nicely done! I mean - this strange building, blood, stairs, walls they were all really enjoyable.
In my version were coloured pages too and I loved those cute little bunnies in colour, especially wolf-bunny.

Character 5/10
Nothing special. They all had their own characters but we all seen them already. Cute girl on wheelchair? Badass guy? Son of the doctor? Yup.. I give 5 because some of them wasn't what we thought they are. It wasn't that shocking like in School Days or Higurashi but still..

Enjoyment 9/10
Why so high? Because it sucks you like a mud! Even if story isn't amazing and characters are just normal you will still enjoy reading it - trust me. You will want to know what will be later and it works like a good horror/thriller giving you chills sometimes. Yup it deserves good 9 but only for enjoyment.

Overall: 6.75 ahaha so 6/10 will be good. It's Fair, this word matches this manga really well.
It's not special but still really enjoyable so yup if you can read it - do it fast!

I have never been so captivated by a story so much so that I had to write a review for it as soon as I finished it. Whilst reading Doubt I had to remind myself to breathe because I was holding my breath from the suspense on so many occasions! It sort of reminded me of a Battle Royale - Saw hybrid so if you like either of these you're in for a treat ^^
So, lets get down to why this manga is so good!

Story - for a short manga of only four volumes it does not disappoint and the rule quality over quantity certainly ... applies to Doubt. Whilst reading I got to about chapter 13 when I thought to myself "This is really good but I don't see how they can drag this out for another 7 chapters?" but I was incredibly mistaken! The plot has enough twists in it to make your head spin and jaw drop - a few times I actually gasped out loud. Even though it is short the quality of this story line should be recognised along with epics such as Battle Royale!

Artwork - there was nothing to complain about with the artwork, it wasn't the best I've ever seen but it's not anything to sniff at and it mirrored the storyline perfectly.

Characters - obviously you shouldn't expect major character development for this manga but as characters go these were your perfect bunch!

Ending - this is probably the most important part of a manga as it can make or break the storyline for the reader. Considering what happens in the story the ending was as good as it is going to get but this is a positive thing. If the ending had been any different it wouldn't have been realistic and not in keeping with the storyline. It's a shame but not everyone can run of into the sunset and live happily ever after - but don't let that put you off because you will definately not be left disappointed after reading Doubt.

Overall - I can't stress enough how much you would enjoy this manga!

What is doubt? Doubt is the only thing that seperates you from trusting that one person. How can you trigger doubt? like this and others that put like 5 people in a place that nobody knows with no way out and let everything just play out .And even though that person became open to you, that just makes you even more suspicious of that person, same thing for hiding that truth in. And that my friend is doubt. That's where this manga comes in.

Oh god, this story was so amazing and one of the mangas to make me ... say " I shouldn't read, but this is really good that I want to finish it." This manga was also rare. Out of all the horror mangas I read, this got me creeped out enough for me to be able not to sleep at night. I mean you put the basis of this manga of a wolf pretending to be a rabbit in a colony of rabbits and each day it would eat a rabbit until one day the rabbits all met up and killed the rabbit they suspected and if they were right then they were saved but guess wrong and they're all dead. That doesn't seem scary enough, but make that with real people that don't know each other that great where it's a no hold, rulefree eat or be eaten game, then that's scary

At first, I was skeptical about the series, but I decided to give it a try. However, by the first few pages, I was completely hooked.

The story is well-crafted, and the artist keeps readers guessing at every page. It was full of enjoyable twists and turns. Every chapter gave me chills and I found myself up late on a weekday night trying to smuggle in a few more pages while my mother told me to gtfo the computer. Momentarily after my reading sessions, I felt brief fear of things I had never been afraid of - things as trivial as the dark, or being alone ... in a room.
What I love a lot about this manga are the characters. What I really enjoyed was how each character's story and background came out throughout the series, and wasn't just presented to you in a large bundle at the introduction. Each of them have their own reasons of why they could be the Wolf.The characters are also very diverse and there is, of course, more to them than meets the eye. ;D
The art could have been better, but I felt like it did a good job with the morbid nature of the plot. The emotion in the story was very well done. If someone decided to take out all the text in the story, I dare say that you would still be on the verge of nightmares.

I completed the series in about two days, and since then, I find a strange obsession with drawing bloody rabbit heads all over my schoolwork.

The story is about a group of teenagers that get involved in a real life online game called "Rabbit Doubt" where one by one, the wolf kills off a rabbit. They must find out who the wolf is before everyone is killed.

The game is mainly based on, well.. doubt. It becomes difficult for the players to trust each other and always seem unsure about who the wolf is. As the reader, it will keep you guessing on who the killer is until the end.

Most of the characters are not developed enough that it seems like you've seen them before. (ie. the smart guy, the jock, ... the wimp, etc.) When they die, it isn't as dramatic as it would be if you knew them very well. Despite that, every character has an important role to the story.

While this manga may sound like a kill-a-thon, it is full of psychology and logic. If you are the type who likes to think and guess along with the characters, this is the manga for you. This manga is entertaining but is not for the faint of heart.

Personally, I didnt LOVE this manga.
Others, however might find it pretty enjoyable. I dont like beating around the bush, so lets get straight to business~

STORY (8)
The story is pretty good--its somewhat original, at least. You have a popular interactive cell phone game called RABBIT DOUBT and a group of kids who suddenly find themselves experiencing firsthand the horror of having no one to trust in life-or-death circumstances.
"How does this happen?" you might ask.
Well, these kids are trapped in a dark, underground maze in the middle of nowhere. And they discover one of their friends brutally murdered in a room. They realize that the ... killer is among them and desperately search for a way out. 'Cept, they all suspect one another, and while they waver between doubt and trust, the killer strikes again!

ART (9)
I lurve this art style. I think you'll like it too. I hope you do.
The facial expressions are nice, you can tell when someone's confused or scared. The creepy scences look creeeeepy. And you can practically tell how unnerving it feels to be in that dark, dank, windowless middle-of-nowhere.

CHARACTERS (6)
Ugh. This was my least favorite part of the manga. The girls were clingy and weak and wimpy and insecure. Forget having no flavor, these girls left a bad taste in my mouth. I tried to like them. I really did. But there's only so much ANYONE can put up with.
The others were OKAY, but they werent amazing. They were all too busy suspecting each other and trying to make it out alive to try to make a good impression, I guess.

ENJOYMENT (7)
If you've read/seen Death Note, Code Geass, or maybe if you've read other psychological/horror themed manga, this isnt anything AMAZING. But its worth a read, if you're looking for something to kill time with. Going by the MyAnimeList definition of "7", its "good." Its not "very good" or "fair". Its not "great" or "mediocre". Its simply "good".

Math time! (8+9+6+7)/4 = 7.5
BUT, MAL does not have a 7.5 in their scoring system.
So I'm going to be a little unfair here and round it down to a 7. Why? Like I said, its "good" but, in my humble opinion, not VERY good. Blame it on the wimpy characters.

All started as a hunting game, but it changes when all the participants awake in an alone building and it comes and escenary full of blood. It starts the hunt of the liar wolf who's killing all the innocents rabbits.
After the first victim, all are thinking about: Who will survive? Who will die? Who's the wolf? Who's the next? Why?

Okay so I'm going to make a review of both Doubt and Judge because they are almost the same and I'm not kinky enough to get myself reading Secret.

One of my favourite kind of stories are mystery/survival games. It's an amazing and easy way to develope a good story with strong bonds between the characters, plot twists, dark plots, and even some horror and gore.

I get to love this kind of stories through visual novels such as Zero Escape, Danganronpa and When They Cry and I even want to write some story like these by myself.

Just as Virtue's Last Reward, Umineko and Danganronpa V3 might ... be good exmples of what to do, this series is definetly and example of WHAT NOT TO DO.

There's a key in writting mystery stories and is always PLANNING YOUR STORY BACKWARDS. That way you can unwrap the plot slowly leaving some hints behind and some crucial plot twist momments (and preventing plotholes).

Well, nothing is unfunnier than having the mystery resolved by itself. Every plot twist happens because IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN and feels like a coin flip.
"Oh wow so this is the mastermind, I knew it because people lie)?"

Literally, there's nothing to connect, every truth revelation gives off new plot to have sense and to evade being a plot hole...BECAUSE THIS STORY WAS PLANNED AT THE SAME TIME IT WAS WRITEN. How the hell am I gonna get surprised with a plot twist if there's no plot?


Second failure: the mechanics. In terms of mechanics there's no mechanics.
The plot is sooooo easy. There's one killer among us, let's find it.
I mean, if they are playing a killing game, having some rules is MANDATORY.
But honestly, after reading Judge I even prefer it this way...at least it doesn't pretend to be "complex" with symbolism and stuff. Like no, don't try it. "I'm going to judge your sins", and then forget about the "sins" theme for the rest of the manga, they just don't matter.

And finally, the characters...
I know this isn't a visual novel with lots of dialogues for you to get attached to the characters but oh my god...I can't even remember half of the main cast.
Personality, what's that? Even their design is boring. They are just lame and forgettable. How do I get attached to them? I won't care if they die.
There's the hero, the edgy, the bad guy, a girl and...another girl?
They act just like you expect, the bad boy does bad things, the edgy does smart decisions and the hero drains all of your patience with his friendship preachments. One of them is lying, who? I don't care, they will come up with and explanation afterwards whoever he/she is. They have no progression, they are so unidimensional that it hurts.



The only good thing about this manga is that is SHORT and unlike Judge (because it's repetitive as having garlics for dinner) it could be a decent movie. The lenght makes you at least pass the time without getting bored, and that's the only reason why I could read along this disappointment.

i am really scared easily, and all i can say in one word is:
scary.
this is one of the most scariest manga's that ive read.
it even passed battle royale(for me, this manga is scary as HELL)
i was just shoked to read this manga and had chills all over my body.
but, the ending for me was preety lame, i mean, as one person here said, they just did an unconnected ending and made up some so called connected "clues".
now, for the anoying part:
story: you allready know the story, so i dont need to write about it.
the story is predictable, and you will know the ending from the ... first few chapters.
but exept from that, its awasome.
art: not the greatest, thats for sure, but it fits to romance-horror somehow.
characters: they are interesting and sometimes pitiful because of their conditions.
but if your not ready for this kind of manga, youll cry for their deaths.(like me 'sob')
enjoyment: it was really interesting. fun is a cruel word for this manga, and i dont think that it was fun for me but very attractive and REALLY interesting.
to find the real killer can be sometimes obvious like i said before but you dont care, you just want to know who hung who and who stabbed who and so on.
overall: two words: great, scary.
i HIGHLY recommend this to people who can bear horror manga's because its not the drawing and pictures that are scary, its the story and what happens.
i am going to sleep with my eye half open to make sure that NO person in a creepy bunny mask will come to my room with a rope.(yup, nightmares....)

To trust someone you have to be close with and you must know a sufficient amount about this person. Doubt plays with the concept of trust and lies to an almost disturbing and unbelievable degree. Doubt is prime for binge reading due to its fast paced storyline which is brimming with twists and turns.

Doubt is a 4 volume psychological horror type of manga. It follows 6 young people as they participate in a deadly version of the popular cellular game called rabbit doubt. The goal of this game is to find the wolf in disguise among a pack of rabbits. Not knowing who ... to trust, the 6 youths of Doubt have to figure out who is the wolf in their pack.

One of my favorite parts about this manga is the story elements. The mystery that is central to the entire plot is very well done. I was always waiting for what was going to happen next and the plot twists here were excellent. I also thought the psychological aspects were well explored. Seeing how sick and twisted some of the characters were was quite astonishing. The only problem with the story is that the concept isn't that unique but the idea of rabbit doubt is very good and intriguing.

I finished Doubt over the span of a single day. That might not be impressive but for someone like me who reads quite slowly, I got through this manga extremely fast due to both shortness and very good suspense.

The characters in doubt is where the manga kind of falters a bit. The characters were fine and they had some interesting qualities and backstories. However throughout the entire story I just felt that they were plot devices. I felt that they were just there for the sake of having someone to participate in the events of the story. This is especially apparent in the main character who gets virtually no back story at all and he hardly captures my interest.

Themes of lying and trust are very well explored and some of the situations the characters are put in seem believeable. And how these characters trust eachother are also really put to the test.

The art was good. I didn't have many problems with it aside from sometimes the scene that was taking place is unclear. The rabbit masks were very detailed and downright disturbing which is a good thing in a manga like this one.

A big flaw with this manga is sometimes there were completely unbelievable situations. I'm not going to spoil anything but some plot elements were a complete stretch to be able to believe.

In conclusion doubt is a highly enjoyable and highly addictive manga that is definitely worth a read. The plot is interesting and the amount of plot twists and suspense is ideal for fans of mystery and psychological horror.
