SE is a comedy manga that has made me laugh a few times, but has also made me emotionally invested. While the story defiantly is interesting to me, I feel that if you don't like computer lingo you might get lost in some of the dialogue. However it does make it easy enough so the basic reader can understand some of the more complex topics they cover.
The story seems to be a bit predictable at times however I am defiantly enjoying it none the less.
I personally really like the style of SE, it has a nice feel to it and doesn't
seem to stuck to the typical anime style, it's more like a web comic style. HOWEVER I can see why it would turn off people.
I think Oka Shirou is quite a bland character, he's very generic however he's helped alot by the amazing side characters.
I read through it in one sitting, also I'm waiting for more.
SE is definitely a good manga, but I feel as if I can predict where it's going. I can't wait for more though!
I am pretty shocked and not at the same time that the ratings are so low for this manga. As the synopsis and title implies, this manga focuses on software engineering and computer science. So if you have no exposure to this geeky stuff, you probably wouldn't understand some of the dialogue and character interactions in this manga.
The story set-up was pretty interesting to me, your standard 22 year old male programmer with little relationship history enters a new job. He finds out he is working for the girl who he has been eyeing for a while. The rest of the story focuses on
the employee dynamics and the two main character development. IF you have seen an asian drama before, you can pretty much predict what is going to happen.
Art was definitely out there, really clean and really easy to read. Everything pretty much happens inside the office, so there isn't anything to be confused about.
Characters were alright, pretty flat to be honest. I think at some point new characters were introduced, but I wasn't sure why they were introduced or what the author's intent for them were.
Anyways, if you are a CS student or working right now in the tech industry or have any exposure to computers or mathematics, pick this up, it is worth at least trying. Otherwise, I would just pass it up. It would be very dreadful for you to go through the chapters and pretend to understand and care about the character workstyle.
well i wasn t expecting anything from this little manga. I read it just to relax after a hard day of study, and it completed this role.
I kinda like the art in it, it s very simple but pleasant. It s the same with everything else in the manga from story to enjoyment. The only negative aspect of the manga is that it s a bit too long for a story of this kind. It should have been shorter for a manga without ambition like this. At least the end doesn t feel rushed.
I won t recommand it to anyone since the manga is a
bit stupid and plain, however when you are dead tired it can be a good entertainment. It allows you to put your brain away
