When the hot-tempered Han Hye Won accidentally insults the handsome jjang of Han Hwa Go, Sun Woo Bin decides to pay her a visit...with his entire motorcycle gang, ready to see some blood. So how does that lead up to a kiss and the infamous captain begging for a date? Do you want to try?
"Do You Want To Try?" - The title, for some weird reason, led me to read this manwha... I can pretty much say I'm greatly dissapointed...
The story is one extremely popular in Korea, including Jjangs and all that. It even has the ever popular "Fake relationship to get some stalker to leave me alone". It's very mediocre, and the author keeps trying to make it interesting by adding random things such as bullying, dark pasts, and betrayals. Trust me, that's all there is to it.
This is the best part in the series. If that disappoints you, turn away now and just don't read it. The art, though, is very good. The only bad thing about it, I would say, is that hairs look stiff in the beginning but that is fixed in the later half of the series.
The author just couldn't make up her mind when deciding the character's personalities! The main girl, for example, is independent and bossy one chapter and a cry-baby who's dragged along by some guy the next! The romance between the two mains also didn't develop. All of a sudden, the girl just doesn't find her fake boyfriend annoying at all. Instead, just randomly, she begins to LIKE the guy. For no reason... You know what? I don't even want to go on. To put it simply, all characters are bi-polar! There!
It's not an entertaining series at all... I mean, if you like stereotypical romances it's a bulls-eye but if you don't like that stuff... Just don't read it! I can tell you right now, don't expect too much from this series. I did, and I'm disappointed!
Other than the art... This series doesn't have many good points... This is a warning: "Do You Want To Try?" isn't the worst manwha out there, but DEFINITELY not the best! read more
The first couple of chapters really drew me into this manga, story started out interesting and the art was beautiful. Suddenly the story gets confusing and convoluted as hell, starts to make a little sense then BAM! Total chaos....it's over?!?! WTF?! just happened and why? Did the mangaka suddenly get bored with her own story and decide killing off a good character would be a quick and easy way to end things? Extremely disappointed by the outcome, I will never read anything by this mangaka again.
I'll start of by saying that the art is really good. The story is pretty good at the beginning. Though I was getting annoyed that I kept getting her brother and Sun- Bin confused. Also Sun-Bin and his friend were looking alike too, I had to keep looking out for his hair or cigarettes. Though it could be that its late ;p
Story is basically about a girl whose late encounter to school gets her in trouble in a weird way, involving a gang leader, propositioning her to be his girlfriend. Throw in background drama and ex's and you have yourself a story. I thought the main character was a cliche, I mean, i feel for what she went through and everything but I couldn't really tell who she liked more myself.I thought Si-woo showed the most promise as a character...
All in all it's a 5 for me but to each their own and give it a try...read more
So, basically I just want to complain about the creators poor knowledge of biology. Blue eyes and blond eyes, because ONE parent was French? Both parents need the genes for the child to get blue eyes and blond hair. Annoying. Even worse is the purple tinted eyes... Purple.
Anyway, the plot was pretty mediocre, the ending was kind of sudden but not too bad. The last part just seemed sort of meaningless so that the author could've just ended it before, so it was more like it was dragged on and then ended.
The characters were unrealistic and clichee, practically identical with many other manga characters. Their personalities mostly don't make sense and seem to just be there for entertainment, not at all unusual in comics.
The art was actually quite good, only positive thing about it.
Can't believe I actually read the whole thing, suppose for mindless entertainment it's not so bad. read more
