I... I have mixed feelings for this manga. The weird guilty pleasure of giggling like a Japanese school girl in 12 P.M because I'm to "insecure about my masculinity" to read it in public. Combined with the lingering feeling of "dafuq is dis" which is still in my mind, I can't say anything other than "I love this".
It's weird, bizarre, funny, and with only 2 volumes, you definitely should read this master-piece-of-shit
(Filler alert: I wanted to write a short review because this manga has, like, 12 chapters and the word count in this might actually be roughly 10% the manga's word count but MAL doesn't
tolerate short review so you can just skip to the next parenthesis which is right here)
PS: if you feel kinda grossed out because the MC might do "something" to his loli father, don't worry. He won't.
Also this manga helped me pass my biology test
Yes Lolita but Father? or My Father is a Loli, is a strange yet funny manga, about a Father scientist who turns himself into a Loli, and since that day a lot of funny, strange and dangerous things happen.
The father scientist who turns into a Loli, the assistant with big boobs, the Lolicon son, the girl who is the childhood best friend that is also in love with the MC, the girl's other friend, the MC other friend, the the genius transfer student, and a very special cockroach(yes that's right) etc.. we have the classic characters for a school/comedy and some
more original with some twist/secret, they are all funny and well draw.
The Art is good, the comedy scenes are very well draw, the face expresions are really good and the Lolis are very very cute. Some ecchi scenes and kind of action are also very good.
The Story is not anything deep and complex, it's simple yet nice, just a story about a father scientist who makes himself a Loli with a fail experiment and then good, bad, funny things happen. What can you get from reading this? well you get comedy, cute Lolis some good and funny plot twists.
This may looks like a stupid idea for a manga but it was fun to read, don't go into it expecting something amazing, life changing or anything like that, this is just comedy with Lolis and weird stuff happening all around witch makes it very fun and nice to read. I recommend it to anyone who has 30 minutes to 1hour free to read it :)
This is dumb. This manga is really dumb. It would not be an exaggeration to say this is one of the most childish, inane, rambly messes of a story that has ever graced my eyeballs. Every chapter has a new twist that is absolutely absurd, and not in any thought-provoking way, the plot is a straightforward mess, every character is flat as loli dad's chest and the whole thing reads more like a fever dream after spending all day on message boards.
It is all incredibly entertaining. This is incredibly dumb, but by god is it dumb fun. Every page is a new "haha, what?"
moment and I had an absolute blast reading it. The simple art and imbecilic plot combine to make something that's just so incredible out there it's amazing.
You really shouldn't be reading this review. If the concept of a man turning himself into a "loli" hasn't already got you to read this thing then it's not for you. But if you are, and you want to turn off all higher logical functions for an hour and a half, this is the manga for you.
The art is cute, the story is funny and the characters are funny as well.
However, what makes this series stand out is its use of scientific explanations for how an old geezer turns into a young girl, how invisibility works as well as how erections occur. It is partially blocked out so you have to guess parts of it but nevertheless it is amazing.
For example, it mentions how there are telomeres in DNA and chromosomes, REM (rapid eye movement), refraction of light and more. As someone interested in biochemistry, it is really exciting. But again, who doesn't enjoy knowing how things work and
learning from manga ( I learned that the galaxy was 100k light years long from AKB49 ).
Lastly, I would like to mention how much I enjoy transformation stories and the havoc that ensues. If you enjoy science, transformations and humor, give this a try. Yay scientific manga :P
