Synopsis

After rigorously training for three years, the ordinary Saitama has gained immense strength which allows him to take out anyone and anything with just one punch. He decides to put his new skill to good use by becoming a hero. However, he quickly becomes bored with easily defeating monsters, and wants someone to give him a challenge to bring back the spark of being a hero.

Upon bearing witness to Saitama's amazing power, Genos, a cyborg, is determined to become Saitama's apprentice. During this time, Saitama realizes he is neither getting the recognition that he deserves nor known by the people due to him not being a part of the Hero Association. Wanting to boost his reputation, Saitama decides to have Genos register with him, in exchange for taking him in as a pupil. Together, the two begin working their way up toward becoming true heroes, hoping to find strong enemies and earn respect in the process.

Preliminary (203/? eps)
It's rare to see a shonen series that can strike consistently gorgeous art and a great story. While to titular character often takes backstage to the story due to his power that would immediately resolve every conflict in a matter of seconds, we are still delighted with the supporting casts that are well-written and entertaining enough.

Still, the star of the show and the most entertaining character is the MC. Each arc shows him keeps one-upping himself in feats of strength; with an action scene that is always a delight to the eyes. It is unfortunate in the genre that usually has a side character ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (154/? eps)
It is probably one of the best action conduited mangas out there as well as an intelligent satire about power fantasies and the art is top notch but a little generic despite that designs are really cool most of the time, however that are all the good things I can say about OPM. It is not bad by any means but in 150+ chapters the story becomes progessively less interesting. The misteries around the hero ranking are a good hook up but it gets old quite early. It is a fun watch but nothing else. Would recommend the first animated part as it is delightfully ...

Preliminary (160/? eps)
*Spoiler free* The webcomic is better. I don't mean to be some kind of contrarian, but it's the truth. The webcomic, written by ONE, has a story which readers of the manga would not know past a certain point. Whether it was Murata or ONE himself who pedaled these changes, they are bad.

Everything changed in the manga seems to strive to appeal to a younger, or just dumber audience. Any sort of nuance was taken out of the story and the characters fall flat with the omissions and additions in the story.

The artwork, which people love to praise, is good. Undeniably so. However, ...
