There are 3 phase we (or at least me) will face when we read gore, especially the Jashin-Chan kind of gore.
First, You'll feel disgusted, scared, etc, a typical normal reaction from someone who doesn't like gore.
Next, Somehow or another we enjoy the manga, find it funny, became addicted to it, and didn't even mind the gore anymore.
Last, I don't know if y'all feel this but sometimes when I read panels like when Jashin get her hand crushed, or maybe when Yurine split Jashin's thumb and pointy finger I feel curious about how I feel if I tried that. (This is stupid, but that's how
...
it is for me). This doesn't happen in every gore, but only limited to some kind like Jashin-Chan Dropkick.
So, before I recommend you to read this brilliant gag manga, please be aware that this manga can make you become weird, either second or third phase. But if you not, that's good.
Jashin Chan Dropkick is a gag, comedy, gore, parody, supranatural/fantasy,etc manga that resolves around Jashin, a demon who was summoned by Yurine, a sadistic girl only for Jashin. Here and there, somehow many fantasy creatures like demon and angel fell down to earth and become acquaintances with Yurine. No plot, because the plot come from how the characters become, or when the new character show up, which almost happen in every volume.
The main part of Jashin Chan is its gag comedy and dark humor that I find funny (even though I don't like gore and dark humor). Sometimes they use repetitive plot, but because they can tone it perfectly it does seem perfect. Don't forget to add gore in every panel, featuring one and only our Jashin chan who has super regenerative ability.
Other aspect that made this manga great is characters and some of their developments. Although some characters is hateable, but over the chapters they somehow become well-liked too. The second angel, which I still don't like until now, changed little by little towards a good development. Jashin, somehow become clingy to Yurine is also a good development.
Overall, this manga is great for you who can stand those 3 phases I've written above. And for those who not, I'm not recommending it. Please be careful, do not try this manga at home, unless you're Jashin.
