The protagonist, Boreum Park, is the daughter of a goddess and a womanizing taoist. Stolen from her mother at birth, she lives on earth with her father Chun Park. Her whereabouts are hidden from her mother by the protective charms set up around their house and she is always forbidden to leave them. When on the prowl for women one day, her casanova father comes across a man playing the flute. As they get to know each other he falls in love with the man. In order to stay close to the man he offers a marriage proposal for Boreum to marry the man's son. Thus stirring things up in the heavens when her mother finally finds Boreum's whereabouts.
I really love this manhwa~ It got me hooked really fast.
Right now only 2 chapters are available, but that's why i can't wait for the next chapters!
So, it began like this, a womanizer taoist, searched long for a beauty to get the most perfect gorgous daugther or son. That Daughter was Boreum.
Her father took her away and hid on te gold mountain, Boreum couldnt go outside and was only making embroidery(i think), other then that she had read all books, and was really bored, on the other side, her dad always went outside, searching for woman, but then met a flute-playing guy. Turns
out, father-taoist fell in love with him. So the father wanted to be closer with him and let her daughter marry the son of the flute-playing guy. What will happen when someone interrupted the marriage?
--The story is totally loveable and original. It's funny and a bit dramatique (though i don't mind it this one time) It's totally recommend.
When looking at the cover at first i thought it was just average drawing, (especially cuz of her cheeks) and the 1st pages did not impress me either. But after reading it further the eyes, the clothes and the characters themselves looked absolutrely gorgeous~!
So well, the characters aren't really original, but i still loved them.
It's just that Boreum at first only like the looks, and only that. Without knowing the fiance's bad points (which are quite a lot)
And the guy, well, y know, let's just not say anything... just read and u'll get to know it.. okay so he's handsome, but his personality ...................................................................is, so-so.. at 2 chapters, so i hope he'll change a bit after gettng to know Boreum more.
I enjoyed it. I want more. But i can't really say i love it totally. because Boreum is sooo unfortunate,, ( well im actually just dramatique about this), but its sad isnt it? to be parted from ur mom, be isolated with an outgoing dad, and be bored there. Then suddenly become married, cuz ur dad says so. So I hope she'll become happier soon.
Only thing i want is more, really. CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT CHAPTERS~~~~ i might change this review then.
-This story is recommend for historical, good art, story and shoujo lovers.
Funny and amazing story so far. Art is exceptional and although the characters may feel bland, they add to the story to add comedy effects and interaction for the plot. This is probably my favourite Korean "manga" so far because the story has an interesting concept, and the art is OMG SO BEAUTIFULLLLL
The story is interesting so far. The manhwa has only twelve translated chapters, but from what I see at this point, this series will be very entertaining to read. I hope to see how the main male protagonist will interact with the main female, and I wonder if (SPOILER) Boreum will
get the curse removed.
The art from what I see in the released chapters is amazing, and it really adds to the story. With strong colours and outlines, it really makes reading this manhwa so enjoyable. I like the designs of the Hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) and each part is drawn to the smallest detail.
Since we have only 12 translated chapters, the characters do seem quite bland, but hopefully that will improve as the story continues.
The different comedy sections made it so much more entertaining and I found myself giggling at the small jokes made, even when they broke the fourth wall.
The series so far has a promising start and I would be glad to see more.
Don't cry Boreumi!!
